REALLY interesting read honestly. Kinda work in a similar way tbh, but it's nice seeing how other artists do their thing aswell

Great insight into your process. I love watching how a piece of great art progresses from start to finish, since we usually only ever see the finished product.

haha I work the same way. I feel like putting a clean line layer over the sketch can lead to stiffer work.

to be honest, I do that whenever I work in color. It would take too much time for me to clean this up enough to use it.

ah, that's pretty sweet though. You manage to keep it more relaxed and fluid.

How I do stuff
by Kevisano

Step One: Be Awesome
Step Two: Repeat step one infinitely
Step Three: I believe this step is usually an unknown but I'm also pretty sure in this particular case that it is step two repeated infinitely.
Step Four: PROFIT!

thanks pal, but that only applies toΒ  talented people, those like me can try all our lives with no results

But that is the point. Never stop trying. Stop and you die.Β I've learned that lesson the hard way. Trying to be invulnerable, trying never to fail, trying never to feel disappointment.Β There is joy in trying and even in failing. There is a certain nobility in suffering. People are not created fully formed nor are they finished growing by a certain age. You must always kick and wriggle and squirm and fight and bite and scream and struggle to find out what can be done. Exhausting, I know. We all must fight ourselves. You can build a wall faster than you can build a palace. Limits are part of the imagination. "Talented people" implies that there is more than one kind of people: the lost kind. Everyone is lost. Everyone feels fear. Everyone wonders if they are good enough, if they ever were. It's important to grab that version of self, grab that lying bastard by the nards and scream in his or her lying worthless face "NO! I have more to give, there is more to see! I'm not done motherfucker, fuck you! I'm a goddamn universe unto myself! I will travel to every corner, shitlord!" There is no right or wrong path, speed or method. We must all continually move, like a shark, because we are not truly alive if we aren't moving forward, not to say that that is the only direction. Folks always need to remember that sometimes a step back can also be a step forward, it gives time for reflection, time to fix a mistake, time for a change, time to let it go. All anyone ever asks of anyone else, all that is really required from society and citizens, family and friends, is that we all try. Again and again. Til our last breath.

Never give up, never surrender.

Listen my friend, I only wanted to encourage someone who clearly needed it. Would you like me to keep trying? I'm not sure what you want here. You commented on a comment that is really old, I don't really remember making it. You just sounded so sad, and you replied to my reply with continued discouragement, and frankly, the heat exhaustion may have lead to that lololol snark off reply. I'm just saying, I'm walking down that can't-do-anything road, it sucks, don't do it. I am in fact only beginning to figure it out. I'm more of an art watcher than art maker. I like to build other things. Take it or leave it, but don't attack me for trying to help you out.

you attacked first, you told me to be happy at being a failure, wtf is that supossed to me? is like telling me to be happy to be a loser what was supossed to feel?

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

dempsey23 In reply to QuakeBrothers [2016-07-08 03:42:11 +0000 UTC]

That is not what I meant at all, friend. I didn't attack you at all. I simply meant that there is adventure in failure, in trying, and who doesn't love an adventure? Take what knowledge and experience you can get from trying something, even if it's not really working out, move on, and use it to grow stronger and make the next adventure better. I didn't say being a loser was cool, who would ever say that? Ya dig? Why would I attack you? You didn't sound like you were having the best day, what kind of psycho smacks someone down who is already down?
