I really dislike this new design... It's so goofy and Disney. Blech. And Kris fits the Boy trainer's style... unlike this thing. I would have preferred something cute like the trainer from FireRed and LeafGreen.

Guy, My favorite game ever from pokemon is pokemon crystal, but when I saw the new design of characters (and I've thought the Diamond and Platinum stlye was the most ridiculous)I've said: "Ok, where's Kris? And who is the male character?" Guy I'm some afraid to play this game, but I think Kris will be Eusine substitute, (i hope) what you think?

Well, there is one thing you should consider -- be glad it's not Kris. Before you go "WHAT!?" hear me out -- All Lyra/Kotone does, being the new character, is teach you how to catch a Pokemon, develop the Day-Care Couple's fam a bit, and tell you Pokemon to take to places for special things to happen. Kind of boring, it'd be an insult to Kris to be reduced to that. Also! It's not for the future, it's just a remake of an old game. And Lyra/Kotone's not a replacement, but is what their idea (or possibly the original idea, we don't know what they would have done/planned for Gold! xP) for a Gold and Silver girl, NOT Crystal. Not too big of a fan but not much of a hater, but I feel that needs to be said to all the needless hatred out there over her. And, her country-design I guess kind of fits, since having Breeders as grandparents she probably helps them out on the farm/ranch/grass whatever the equalivant they'd train them on in real life is. Lol. It is kind of odd though. :/
