Description A quick test render (not a final) of my 3D ZX Spectrum project. Its a very quick Area light, and a tiny bit of in-render DOF... And that's about it. Only colour textures were applied (they're still a work in progress, mind you) and a little specularity... But its already looking promising...

Well, it looks very good for a quick render. I had one of these when I was young so I am quite familiar with it. Excellent work!

I also have mine (and all the tapes, mags and peripherals - call me a hoarder of lost memories) from when I was young - its 30+ years old, and its in need of a little repair work along with a second I picked up a few months back (that I'm also slowly attempting to repair).  That second one was what this is based on.  I have since updated its textures, and scanned a better texture for the rubber keys from the one I have here...  I posted up a review of this project on my blog (in 2 parts) for anybody interested:

I like the website. Very nice work. I would like to say I have mine still, but I sold it, with all the bits towards my first amiga. I think I do still have magazines somewhere, and some of my fave game adverts are wallpapers for my phone and comp (I even brought an original print from one of the artists). I am giving serious consideration to 360ing some of them with modelling software.
I do like the fact that you inset the top keys and raised the lower ones. That's what happened to mine, but I think it was the metal bowing from my finger hammering.
All in all, a nice project, and not as easy as it looks. Nicely done!
