Description
One of the most convincing truths that Jesus really is the Son of God is how the apostles all died. They were eyewitnesses of His ministry, His miracles, and His resurrection. They had seen the risen Lord with their own eyes and they could not deny it, even if it cost them their lives.

How is that convincing in the slightest? People have died for religions for thousands of years, Monotheism as an organized idea is only a few thousand years old. Before that for tens of thousands of years people died for their gods. Just because people die for something doesn’t make it true.

Hi hzrvankurd , consider that these men walked with and died for Jesus. Clearly Jesus was more than a Prophet. The fact that you believe He will return is evidence that He is who He said He is, the Son of God. If you don't believe even that, consider his many miracles and witnesses that too crossed over to death by horrible means that were not "self inflicted" or out of compulsion, but willingly accepted due to witnessing Jesus walk among them even after His crucifixion. If you still cannot believe, consider Prophet Isaiah's writings about about Jesus in Isaiah 53, long before His Birth, Crucifixion, Resurrection and Ascension.

In the many books of the Jewish & Christian Bible, there have been many authors. In fact, so many chapters have been written that some are now lost and have yet to be found.
Why is it that so many are willing to follow a heavily edited book of chapters written by so many religious men? The inspiration by God is a factor, truly. Yet, why do you not question why there is no book of chapters written by religious women? Would there be differences between the two books? Then you have the situation of versions. Which version do you read? Which version do you trust? The King James version? What's the difference between the Mormon Bible and the Catholic Bible? So many questions.
My point? Would it not be wise and profitable to enjoys the thoughts and ideas of said apostles while they were alive and within reason? Your implications are that one must believe that one must suffer a terrible, tragic ending of life to prove something to someone else base on a book, written by some fanatics hundreds of years after the fact, and with some of the pages missing. That doesn't seem even remotely logical.
Remember this; In the beginning, there was the darkness. A darkness that God had created. God then created light. God did not create light for his followers to be blind. God created light so that you and I can see and understand the differences between what should be and what can be.
