Wow I made 5 submissions in a day???!!! That's what I call an end of the year blow-out! Yep it's another portfolio piece and it's still yet another crappy scan..
I really love how the apple turned out tho' and the rattle snake...I just loved drawing it.
This is my own reference by the way. I went to the Zoo and snapped that pic of I believe and Eastern Diamondback...I'm probably wrong..
Note: The unfinished look was done on purpose by the way!

Very, VERY nice, dahling...the 'unfinished' look really works for this piece--it allows for the coloured apples to catch the viewer's eye, while the details on the snake ensure that the apples don't distract. I also really like the varying line styles; they have a rough look to them but at the same time really depict the different textures and shapes wonderfully. It's not hard to see why this is in your portfolio--the technical aspects of the piece are wonderful.

friggin' cool, dood. I LOVE the color scheme. it's like.... Snow White and the Seven Dwarves type of thing. your sketching technique looks really laid back and awesome. it looks like you had fun drawing this. The sanke looks a tad short, but I think that might be normal considering it is an eastern diamondback. anyway. neet-o snake. it looks so rugged. love it.

Oooh. Very cool. The texture on the snake's skin looks awesome, IMO, and I really like how the apples are the only things with any sort of color to them.

I like how the snake seems to be a drawing under the apples, but it's almost like you'd expect him to start slithering around them anyway. lol!
I love snakes though. If my mom would let me, I'd totally buy one. They're so amazingly pretty. Nice job with all the detail on the scales, too! Looks awesome!

Fuji?Waz that? You mean the camera I used? The apple was from real life and the snake was a photo I took at the zoo...don't know what kind it was tho'!
And yeah I just put the unfinished look was intentional for those beginner artist who think the WHOLE pic has to be filled with stuff for it to work as an artpiece..
