Yet another DD crossover idea I have is one with The Suffering. Here are the notes I have on this one:
- The story would take place on a prison island, similar to Carnate
- Story-wise, the crossover would be based on the first game, though enemies from the second game could also appear.
- There could be a class based on Torque called either the Prisoner or the Inmate. I imagine his main weapons would be an ax, a Molotov or similar weapon, and a blunderbuss (sawed-off blunderbuss?). Like the Abomination, he could transform ala Insanity mode, with his form and abilities being based on the Good Karma Insanity mode in the sequel.
- Some of the bosses I can imagine would be DD equivalents of Hargrave, Copperfield, the Creeper, and Torque's Hatred. For the last one, it could be an embodiment of the evil in the island and its inhabitants throughout the years instead of just Torque/the Prisoner/Inmate himself.
