Description I should have made a houndour(sp?). Back in 7th grade, me and this other kid were having quite the debate over which pokemon was cooler, phanpy or houndour. It's houndour, obviously.

Well, if you're really looking to get into miniatures, you got to start big, and work your way down. I mean, check out the early stuff in my gallery. XD

they are still neat. What kind of materials do you use to create them?

I've been using sculpey, this different type that gets rubbery when you bake it...I think it works better than the regular sculpey, because it's really...well...soggy, I guess you could say, where the regular stuff is really stiff. It's hard to work with such tiny amounts when it's stiff like that. I was using the little plastic knife that came with the box, but now I'm using an x-acto knife that I filed down to be really thin (it's also really sharp. I've accidentally cut myself like, eight times in the last two days alone. XD) a pair of needlenose pliers (but that's mostly for twisting wire into loops to make ring thingies for charms) and a whole bunch of needles. But the only thing I use the knife/needles for is attaching pieces to the figure, like on this one; it'd be a really bad idea to try and roll out a big piece of a clay like cookie dough and try to cut pieces out, you know?

Wow, that was quite the rant. XD

But very informational. I'll have to find this type of rubbery clay~ I use the stiff stuff for big things for sure, but I like soft things. Makes it easier to use but also have to be extra delicate with because it's easy to mess up. But I will certainly look into all this. I've been messing with clay a lot more then I normally would and it's a fun pass time and I've been trying to get into more crafts work as a part time thing.

Thanks again

Yeah, it smears easily, but the pros definitely outweigh the cons, I think. It's called 'bake and bend', anyway, I usually find it at AC Moores.
