Okay, so usually this goes to scraps by default but I'm throwing it up into the main gallery for a couple of suggestions/help wanted:1) Colour-wise? Do I:
a) Black outline inks and colour
b) Sepia outline inks and colour
c) Light colour pencil lines and colour
d) No outlines at all, simply colour.
I don't know if suggestions will help or sway me, but I'm interested to see what others think.
2) Also, anyone have good reference of the outside of Alister's pocket watch? I've come across a few but not of the WHOLE thing.
And yes, I love drawing sum Lombax. Shut up. XD
(ToD outfit simply because I think it looks cool, and they seem to be re-using it for the comics, soooo...)

For the watch, have you looked at the cutscene when Alister realizes Ratchet is Kaden's son? When Ratchet is holding it you can see a big majority of the outside. I;m pretty sure thats the reference you were referring to, but just thought I'd bring it up.

While you're just awesome at lineart, doing only colour would be a nice change stylistically. It would also oblige you to be more dramatic with your use of colour. Experimentation...

Lombaxes are awesome and fun to draw. :3 Love the expression.
I'm partial to coloured lineart, so I would say sepia, myself. :3

I say B) dark sepia outline for Ratchet's fur area and pilot's hat, and if you have any dark blue and dark mauve for outfit outlines, that would look great for Ratchet's suit as well. And I think the background elements should have no outlines, but blended colors of cool, metallic grays for the gears, and maybe some gradient dark ultraviolet blues with stars in the open space as well -- but GO EASY ON THE STARS if you can
As for the pocket watch, lemme see if sis or I can find it...

I'm leaning more towards Sepia myself - at least for Ratchet.

lol I don't blame you for drawing lombaxes I love lombaxes too (next to robots) ratchet is cool but clank is awesome and I love sigmund he's sooo cute
