Erm, by Number one, I mean number one racer Or...ex-racer. Those with dirty minds can take their thoughts else-where! XDAnd one day, when I win the lottery, I'm gonna invest in a nice scanner that likes my watercolours.
I really lucked-out with this one. After going coloured-pencil crazy for the past few days, I wanted to go back to other media again. Markers, sure, but my watercolours wanted more love. I have also had Erol fans gnaw at my ankles for several months asking for more fan art of the guy...very painful.
I found this picture, along with one or two others, in my watercolour pad. All sketched out and waiting for ink and paint, so I went for it. Maybe I can now go several months without any more requests from his (why on earth is it so large?) fan-base.....Daxter works red hair SOOOOO much bettah!

Personally, I don't think you can ever have too much of Erol, but . . . this will do.
In fact, this is incredible. I can't believe the colouring and line art . . . just unbelievable! Awesome work!

Erol's my favourite Jak character by far, I don't think they gave him enough time in third game, seeing as he was the main enemy...
I don't think he'll be in the new game that's been announced but what's the harm in keeping my hopes up?
I love how smooth and bright the colouring is on this, especially for watercolour.

XD Dax does work red hair better, but this is very lovely too :3 Erol does okay where red is concerned! I love the red eye thingys on his mask X3 Very nicely done! And the fadey purple bg is very lovely too <3

Haven's Number 1...don't worry, I wasn't aware of anythine dirty by that title. Woot! Erol. I never realized how rare it is to see Erol art, but it is (memo to myself: Draw more Erol). Again, nice detail and his hair is justperfect (something I can't really do, make short spiky hair without royally screwing up, so I have to make it my own style). Violet fits well in the BG (I guess I'm used to my Erol with a green BG).
I love his cocky look, yet he has a sense of relaxation...

I have no idea why Erol has a ridiculously huge fanbase either, but... such is life -_o; If I was given the choice between buck teeth and a racing helmet, you know I'd go for the former
Anyhow... heck, you've done well to portray his more energetic side around him, and the watercolors have managed to show well enough to instantly attract the deviant over to the image ^^ and... how you can paint so clean is also well beyond me. (then again that's coming from someone who's yet to try, and needs the time and space to sit down and paint a picture O.O)

Sis has so much insane stuff to teach me when she comes. SO MUCH INSANE STUFF. *BRAIN GOES SPLODEY* I have absolutely no idea how you did half of this, AND I DEMAND TO KNOW! Oh good GOD lookit his HELLMEEEETTT!! Its so shiny and mindblowingly melty! ... And at the right angle on his head! X_X *can NEVER get that right* but sweet lohd, this is like... WOO 0_0 EETZ EROL!! I, like you for me, can probably count the number of times you've drawn him on one hand, which is understandable for us... COS DAXTER IS TEH SEKZ IN RED HAIRRRRR :0 I thoroughly believe that only reason Erol has that delicious<3ish reddish plumeish that we love so well is that ND realised the mistake they made in killing off Daxter's human design when it was so deelishuz, and decided to reimburse some of his traits.
But then again, I might be biest. *giggles and is pinned with many an obsessive stare*

I adore his eyes so much X__X You somehow manage to make them like.. greenish tinted, which is how they ARE, when I make them too close to his hair. *nods disparingly* HE LOOKS SO EEEBBBILL!!! I simply ADORE the shading and beauty on his goggle-helmet pieces, and his little tubeys around his neck <3 The inking you used is steadfast and attractive, and Im so glad you decided to do thissss ^_^ I mean, Erol's a $$$$ to draw, but coloring him is sorta fun, and you did this wonderfully. MUCHO CONGRATSIES, LOVE! ;3

I absolutely adore the skin tones...@_@ I always love when people do skin tones in any kind of painting. The way the colors mix together make me melt! <3 The metal is total winnage, and the outfit is of 100% accuracy! XD I can't get over how you drew every little detail. Wah!

Even though I be this looks better in real life, I cant help but to adore the watercolor effect onm this one. It looks really really great! And it is Erol! Woot! Me loff Erol, that hot motherfucker.

Nope. The pens I use to ink are water-resistant. It's a must, considering I also use markers. If I didn't, my watercolour and Marker images would be chaos. XD I use Mitsubishi Uni Pin, but I hear Sakura Microns (I think that's the name) are also good. They're not on sale over in NZ, so I've only ever tried a couple in the past when my friend sent me some.

I think the reason he has such a large fan base (and mostly girls I might add) is that he's so mean and angry and yet not the main 'evil' character. He has instantly recognisable emotional qualities. He's a man of feeling, albeit bad feelings. Sure Jak has emotions and nothing betrays that more than Dark Jak (he has his fair share of screaming girly fans) but Erol is different because everyone knows that ultimately he will destroy himself because of his emotions thus making him a twisted sort of tragic anti-hero.
