My reaction to the utter joy that is the special edition re-release of Monkey Island 2. [link]I know I've already done this silly face/pose but I figured it was worth re-hashing it.
Fully bearded Guybrush was always a bit odd to me. I think Tell Tale got the beard design perfect in tales.
however the new sprite for the Special edition of 2 looks very, very pretty.Media: Mitsubishi Uni Pin Inks, Tria Markers, Copic Sketch markers, Pro Markers, Faber Castell Watercolours, Hybrid White Gel Pen.

No, thanks.... I found SE of Monkey Island games totally failed... Sorry, but new version looks uglier for me than original.

I wasn't satisfaced with the Remake of the first game because it was not my favorite Monkey Island game (the 2nd one) but when they released the Remake of Monkey Island 2 I literally shitted my pants of exitement

I agree with you on the design. I really think the overall design of the Tale of Monkey Island is really dead on and I think Guybrush & Elaine can't look any better (even I rather to see them in 2D classic animation style)

Indeed. At least Telltale Games people know their stuff (If memory serves, most of them were the people who made the original Monkey Island, Sam & Max, Grim Fandango) and they do justice to the game in 3D while make it "affordable" to people whose computer not as powerful

The rights to new MI games, through Lucas Art's approval. Lucas still owns the rights to the games themselves - most of all the original games.
