Please Full View.Considering this was a picture I wasn't too excited on working on, I rather like the results. Most of all on Midori. The in-production phase of this image can be found in my scraps section.
The four sisters from one of my Mangas. Zuri (the one on the far left) being the main character. Infact, the other three don't show up that much, but their sisters - so I figured there should be at least one pic of them all together. Each one with a power over one of the four elements that control their world.
Zuri - Fire (symbolic flower is the Rose)
Magji - Water (symbolic flower is the Lilly)
Midori - Earth (symbolic flower is the Tulip)
Kowahi - Wind (symbolic flower is the Daisy)
Meep. Hardly ever put up any of my orginal art, since people never show interest. So back to mah fanart now.

Well, this picture aside - most people DO happen to ignore my original artwork, which is why I don't really post it much. I don't see the point in working on a picture for ages and have it up here only to have it ignored by about 92% of my devwatchers who are horny jak fangirls just after something to do with him (actually...I'm almost dead-serious with this XP). SO...yeah, I just keep my original artwork to myself.

Thats so awesome but you need to switch the colours of the wind one with the earth one because If you watch yu-gi-oh!..Wind is Green not yellow.
Not just because of that but when the wind blows...what do you normally see?
I see green trees moving in the wind and I also see green grass swfiting...
Thats why I think they represent wind as green.
The earth element is normally yellow but I have seen it appear in many colours..than just one...anyways its neat but I'm going to pretend your green character is wind..and your yellow one is earth.
The picture will be more appealing to me. ^_^

Okay...I understand that you have your own opinions as to what elements have which colour to represent them - but we are ALL open to our own opinions. And I was rather annoyed at the comments you left - most of all trying to link me several times to pictures (once was enough, you know)
Something interesting to take note of:
I have been taking an art class for several years, and at one point - we had to represent the four elements with colours that we felt represented them best. WIND was one that had many different colours in people's opinions. We had purple, yellow, white, blue...and Earth had both green and brown. The point is, people are MORE than allowed to express their opinions on what they feel a colour for an element should be.
These are MY original characters, and I have always felt that I symbolise Green with Earth - being an earthy colour - we see green and think of the flora that grows up from the earth. I see wind as yellow because it looks like a 'light' and 'airy' colour to me.
I'm sure other people have their choices in colours for the elements (I know some people prefer either Orange or yellow for fire rather than red. Or aquamarine for water) but what annoyed me was your comment of :

I'm sorry, but this and your other comments were just upsetting. Maybe if you had written it and explained why you usually see wind and earth in the reverse order that I belived, I would have nodded and said 'that's cool'. But I felt insulted that you would word it like this.
In any case - I'm sticking with my colours. They're part of my exhibition later this year, and it's finalised in the work I have done thus far.

By the way ... I love this piece! 
My personal choices for the elemental colours are Fire - Red and Yellow, Water - Blue or Cyan, Air - White or Transparent (which is pretty hard to draw), and Earth - Brown and Green. But as you have already pointed out these choices are quite subjective - with many different cultures and spiritualities choosing dissimilar colours to represent each environment. Geez the chinese even have five elements!! Its purely upon the individual to interpret how they see fit.

WAAAGHHHH...I have dissappeared from DA for far too long @____@ This is SOOOOOO GOOD. I mean, BLEAGH, BLARGH, POOP! POOP - in a good way xD They're all so unique! Their design could easily fit into the Jak n Daxter world, though, heck, they'd be just as strong on their own. I'm looking at all the fine little details and nothing about the pic is cluttered, clunky, or stiff. It's also interesting how you added a black sheen in their hair; the contrast is especially nice on Kowahi.

Hon, I am SOOO sorry for the late comment. I have been wanted to comment on this for ages now, but I havenΒ΄t gotn myself back up before today. *looks at date when the piccie was submitted* February 8! o__. Holy maggot I am late! *drinks her ice coffee and starts typing* >X3
My Kai, no matter what you say, you Do have peopl who really luffs you original characters (like meh! :3 ), and you shouldnt pull yorself down like that. <3 Not only are your characters amazingly wonderfully adorable and kick arse, but they are a 100 % ORIGINAL Kai! Can it get any better, eh? ^O^ I would have loved to see more of your original characters indeed dear. 
Zuri: I remember the first art trade we had and I did draw her. ^_^ I could have made her so much better now, maybe I can make a little gift....? *insert ebil little plotting Marit here* Zuri is a gorgeous character, I adore her fire red colors. Not only is she mooshy cute, but she looks like she can kick some heavy ass if she wants to, am I right? ~_^ Anyway, her pannel, is.... is..... fantastic. <3 her wonderful mix of haircolors, red and black looks heck good on her. I loff the big bangs and how you have drawn them, they have their own "poof" kind of, the special Kai "poof". :3 Not to mention that I adore her fire symbol! And on her forehead, how classic is not that, huh? 
Magji: (ooooh, I like her name, so unique! <3 ) In my opinion, she must be the cutest, and I blame the expression for that! 
Midori: I think she is my fav pannel! *_* And I think it is all because of the split on the side of her dress revealing skin like it does (so shmexay! XD;;; ). Not to mention that I find her pose very interesting. She is the only one whom we can view from the side, and it looks splendid on her! (again due to the split XD;;; ) Also, I am esepcially fond about the transparent fabric she is wearing over her shoulders. The folds are magnificent, and the color suits the rest of her outfit perfectly (and heck, we get to see even MORE skin! XD;;; ) *Sigh* and she gots curls.... long wavy-ish wonderful curls. TT_TT It looks so extremly good on her! <3 How the Marit lurves how you draw curles, meeeeh!
Kowahi: Woooooa, she looks like she can be bitchinΒ΄quite a lot! X3 I love the attitude that seems to reflect from her pose and expression, especially with the pointing finger and all! <3 Her outfit looks kinda asian-inspired somehow, or is it just me?? ~.^;; None the less, I adore the way you have designed AND drawn it.
