Considering this was a picture I wasn't too excited on working on, I rather like the results. Most of all on Midori. The in-production phase of this image can be found in my scraps section.

The four sisters from one of my Mangas. Zuri (the one on the far left) being the main character. Infact, the other three don't show up that much, but their sisters - so I figured there should be at least one pic of them all together. Each one with a power over one of the four elements that control their world.

Zuri - Fire (symbolic flower is the Rose)
Magji - Water (symbolic flower is the Lilly)
Midori - Earth (symbolic flower is the Tulip)
Kowahi - Wind (symbolic flower is the Daisy)

Meep. Hardly ever put up any of my orginal art, since people never show interest. So back to mah fanart now.

PrismaColor Markers.
Touch-ups with white: Prisma Pencil, hybrid Gel Pen, Sakura Paint Pen

O my god, you just did it again!

Amazing, really, truly amazing!

It's so extremely detailed, must have cost you quite some hours to get this done! The great thing is that you can look at it a long time, and see something new every time you look again

I truly hope you'll draw more original art, it's simply amazing!

*favs it*

Ooh! Ooh! Already an instant fave! I'd love to see the manga, alright! Might want to try your luck with Tokyopop's Rising Stars of Manga -- if they don't add THAT in, even for an honorable mention, I'll get mad with 'em.

Ohh, what I'd give to enter that Tokyo-Pop contest...or rather, did. Got rather bitter with them when I planned to enter last year and found out I had to be a US citizen to enter. Kinda...really heartfelt of them, when they get so much bussiness from outside the US too. *shrugs*

You kiddin' me???? That totally sucks! Wish I'd vouch fer ya, but that'd also be unacceptable as well Ah, well. (America SUCKS, once again *goes to write down on her black list of why the U.S. is a fictional place* I though you were a world citizen altogether, what with you bein' from New Zeland, but also residin' in the U.K. AND Hong Kong. Still, I don't know how it works, but I kinda envy ya -- it'd be a good excuse to move away from America until things starts to cool off, political-wise) SURELY there's a New Zelander version down there, isn't there?

Even if you CAN'T submit it to Tokyopop's U.S. competition, I'd still like to read it... However... It's just that I'd think I would rather BUY it rather than "preview" it on Deviant Art, ya know? I'm picky like that as an honest eBay consumer: if ya like it, buy it ta support the artist, I always say, ya dig?

Do ya really have to continue with just fan art, also? Sure, it GOT you a lot of viewers, I'll grant ya that, but sooner or later, people are bound to look deeper into YOUR OWN work, your own univers. After all, we all know your reputation as a great artist, not JUST because of the Jak and Daxter universe (honestly, tho', I found you while searching for "Ratchet and Clank" images for a school project, and then your Ratchet commission popped up while browsin' through the thumbnails -- it was a real surprise to me that there would be GOOD fan art on ANY of the games I liked).

Jus' so ya know: ya got a potential fan for your future original manga work

*lol* American companies are big bullies! That's all I can say. XP

True. I plan on maybe making my manga into small comic forms and selling them with a small press-store in NZ (also means I can get into the conventions for free to sell em! Whoot!) - which means that I'd sell in NZ for a bit, then maybe sell some online. Best thing is - Manga's getting rather big in NZ, but none of our local comic artists work in that style...I think I've got something going here.

And as for Fanart...well, it's my passion, so it's what I like to work on. I do my original characters too, but I tend to use 'em for college projects and things like that...I guess maybe once I start getting some manga out there, it'll be more likely to pop up more (there's some REALLY old manga-art in the back of my scrap books from my first manga 'Utopia' - I dunno if I'm going to re-do the art and that story for actual publishing...but it's still there, if you want to see what I was doing a year and a bit ago. ^_^)

Sure! Art evolution is a facinating thing to see, actually, no matter HOW sucky you may think it was back then -- it shows how much improvement you see in yourself.

I know! We are a nation of BIG BULLIES! And that ain't right! (Everytime someone outseid America reminds me on how horrible it is here, I have to list them down for reasons to move outta here, and APOLOGIZE on behalf of all stupid Americans, because they're TOO STUBBORN and PROUD to say that themselves!)

Wow, the four elements that make up the planet. A nice usage of colour relating to the nature of the element, and the flowers in the background make a nice touch too. Beautiful drawing, I loved this outcome. +fav!
