I love this game so painfully much I had do do some fanart. It's improved in leaps and bounds from the Unlimited Adventure game.Bug catching isn't as annoying in this game, which is another plus. Put in the hidden Swallowtail here since Chopper himself uses that in one of his compounding medicines you can make in the game.
Not going to deny I rushed to throw on a background on this. I like Chopper in the pic but I wanted to get it finished quickly so I can work on a colab trade with a friend now, so sorry for the less-than-stellar work there.

Awwg I always love your use of colours, and this is just lovely~ And yeah, the background seems a little rushed, but it doesn't bother in this one, watercolours just make a little perspective : D (It IS done with watercolours?)
And seriously, dammit. Fanart from these games just keeps popping out from everywhere, and I want this game all the time more and more

They're sorta-like the ones in the game. I couldn't be bothered going to find them and since the reference files for them were moving images of them flapping their wings, it was hard to actually get a still image of them to use.

So this is a Wii game, right? (I'm not a Wii owner, but my newly-converted OP fan best friend is... Hm.)
I've never played any of the One Piece games, even though they might look fun, mostly for one reason: I'm afraid of the voices/translation into English.

Unlimited Cruise is out for the Wii either in Japanese or the European/Australian/New Zealand PAL version (which is Japanese with english subs). There is no US version out for it to date.
And I played Unlimited Adventure with Funimation dubbed it. Some of the voices took a while getting used to (it was the cast's first time playing their roles when they recorded) but it was actually pretty well done even though they'd yet to fit into their roles. If it ever gets released state-side, it will probably be dubbed with the funi cast.

PS3 is region free. 360 might be (though I'm not too sure) so really it feels like the wii is the only one sticking around in the dark ages, since the others have gone 'well, let's let go of the region locking'.

Since I bought my PS3 here in the US, I don't know how region-free it is. (Actually, I just barely understand the concept.) I know I have a version of LittleBigPlanet which I bought on eBay that is a PAL version, but also region-free. I haven't tried any other PAL or Japan NTSC PS3 games, but I did notice that my PS3 won't play Japanese NTSC PS1 games. (A shame.)
I'd love to be able to play Japanese PS1/2/3 games without having to worry about finding something labeled "region free", but I haven't tested it out, for fear it won't work and I'll have wasted money on something I can't use.

No, only the PS3 games are region free - the earlier games are still region coded, which is why it won't play.
You can always play PS2 Japanese games on another zone PS2 by way of freeloader, though.

They really did improve the bug catching a hell of a lot, I'm so greatful, I hated trying to catch that rassa-frassin' rainbow coloured one in the first game >.< Lovely picture, and reminds me that I really ought to do some art for those games too! Considering how much I love them

Oh man, yes, I LOVE the Unlimited games. I'm not a huge fan of most anime-based games (like how Bleach is nothing but fighters and such). At least this one is an actual adventure (Luffy's so proud!) and you can still do one-on-one fighting as a side thing from the main menu. :3

You can do that on Island 3. After you fight Warpol, keep following the straight path until you come outside again, then take a right. Eventually you'll get to a point where Franky has to make a Ladder. Make it, climb up, go left and then take a right into a cave area with more of those swinging traps. At the end you'll find a treasure chest with the vacuum upgrade as well as mammoth toads you can catch for meals, frozen meat embedded in the walls and sometimes golden fruit on the trees too (it's also up here you can later unlock the path to the optional boss).

Yeah, in cruise you don't have to be QUITE on the mark when it comes to distance and such. You can still scare them away or miss the mark and make them flu off, but it's no way near as annoying as the other one.
I've caught at least 10 Golden Kabutos so far, and never missed one, if that gives you an idea of how much better it is.
