Please Full View.Yes, yes I am much happier with the colours over the inked version. Most of all the Dark Jak in the centre of the pic. He looks so ghostly-pale and wicked kneeling in the blood - like a real demon.
I can't help but feel this scaned on an angle a little, which irks me a bit, but I shall live. And yes, Dark Eco smoke swirls in the Background...because I love doing them.
And yay for eye scans!
Anyone want to see any more Manga-style pics? Or rather I go back to my normal works again.Prisma and Pro markers, PrismaColor Pencils, Sakura white paint pen.

I love the use of the grey tones for Dark Jak, rather than the pale, pale blues and such. Something about the grey makes it stand out even more, more alien, like he is so far removed from everything else that he doesn't even have colour.
The manga style pages are very cool, but your traditional style is also nice to look at. A Daxter manga page might be cool if you feel like continuing in this thread.

Hon, I utterly ADORE how you make these anime set ups pics, I think they are amazing. 
Anyway, I quit my usual babbling and now to comment on the PICTURE!! ^_^;;
I must loffloffloff DJ sitting on the ground there, I can seriosuly not believe how shmexay you make him look with that pale skin. :3 I am not worthy. The grey tones on him is nicely contrasted with the red blood. That adds SUCH an awesome touch, no DJ pics without blood and gore, am I right? X.x;; His dark eyes and expression is priceless. I like that he kinda make a grumpy face with his noce and all, like he is smelling something... like metal heads or something like that. X3 Must add, his hair looks wonderful, I truly adore the highlights in his hair.
The pannel with normal Jak and the moon is just wowie! I mean, the moon is just perfect for that mood you are seeking to give the viewer. Jak himself looks great! I adore his facical structure, as I said on the ink. But he looks so good here. His eyes are wonderful, and I can not help myself but to just fall in love with that little blushes on his cheeks. 
The eyeshot is amazing, it really catch the viwers interest and attention. And I really like how you have drawn this tranformation, using his eyes as the main motive during the process, lovely! And ofcourse, the eyes are to drown in... :3 The blue part looks really anime-ish with the different blue tones, as the black part just looks plain bad ass. >:3 Growl.....
And the freaking blood on his hand, GHA!!! It just gives me the chills (but in a artistic good way!
And ofcourse, the purple tones in the picture. Just fantastic! The cloudy BG looks great, mixed with the black as well. It just represents dark eco, dazz just the way it is! And that is (ofcourse) perfect in this picture. Just purrrfect! ~.^

I like the moon... I dunno, it reminds me of the crooked moon from Jing. The whole just feel and mood of this picture can really be felt. It feels so cold and dark and VERY polar opposite of the Light Jak comic. This one reeks just anger and spite while the other one seems much more hopeful... I think I like this one more in just terms of composition and style. Plus, the blood doesn't look like ketchup for once! (XP I kid) The picture of Dark crouching like that is really great... He does look like the demon he is supposed to be. FANTASTIC work, Kai-ya.

ah am LUFFIN' these manga pages. so neat and pretty, and i love how the palettes are naturally darker to fit the theme, give or take the bright purples. X3 ah love the bright purples!
the evileye in the first panel is badass, and like alice says, you draw the hawtest jaks EVA! the blushy-flushed type markings on his cheeks make him look angry, as he prolly feels. <3 i love that! and you put so much emotion in the brows...they're so thick and stuff, and i love how angular you draw them. 
again, the eye scan concept is brilliant, and it really shows here. youve really brought out the whole moody dark jak feel with the solid creamy eyes, smooth wrinkles, and the gleam. incredibly stunning, i say! so is scan of regular jak...i love the different blues, and i finally realized why i love your eye style so much...! the bold anime outline, and the shape of the IRIS. the SHAPE! not a circle, but...but a...eer...well, it's not a circle there, and that's what makes it 'kai! style! 8D'
mmmmf...nakkie jakku, onoes! D:> with the evil eye approach again! aaargh! its like hes got his target locked an' he's ready to pounce. really brings out the posework, and i LOVE HOW YOU DRAW BLOOD!! O_O! the shine, the oozey effect, the darker shades, the slight purples, you make the red stuff look so gorgeous its not even funneh! i also like the tear in the brown scarf thing; it just fits.
and, onto the last (and probaby my favorite xP) panel. hands are an awesome thing to see in artwork, especially if it's dominant in one big area. plus, i love how you draw hands anyway...and blood. x3 what immediately caught my eye were the scratches of greys around the wrist, and the shading on the knuckles. 
then theres the dots...for the love of god, those dots be addiciting. and purty. purty addictive dots! 
okay, this is frikkin amazing. YOU are frikken amazing. splendid jobbie, kai. 
ohohohoh...itd be cool to see one of daxter. like, through his transformation or something. i know you did an illustration related to that back in the day, but manga-style speaking of course. x3

his nails remind me of wolverine in xmen. he said it hurt eveytime his claws came out. jaks nails must really hurt. i like the comment you made on the ink version to correct what the fluid around his nails were. even if hes naked dark jak still looks beautiful in his own way. evil forms kinda have that kind of affect on me. except in jak3 where a glitch happens in movie scenes when he turns to dark jak and his skin looks all normal no dark. that happened again when damos and jak were driving and in the scene after you make it pass the gate and they look at eachother. jak was dark jak! it was kinda cool to see dark jak smiling though. anyone else have that glitch?
