Description
These two works were for two contests mystic-spectrum.deviantart.com… , mystic-spectrum.deviantart.com…
I couldn't help making them companion pieces and ACEOs. Too lovely of characters and gorgeous color, so much fun and enjoyment coloring and drawing these two. Both characters, Mysticaya and Crimson are copyrighted to Now
Each are 2.5 x 3.5 on recycled waxed book cover (paper?) inks and Prismacolor pencils. Together 5 X 3.5 in.
Individual pieces: keyshe54.deviantart.com/art/Fr… keyshe54.deviantart.com/art/Fl…

Do you study color theory? I noticed you picked orange and blue for their opposing backgrounds, which thematically I love. It's like fire vs. ice. That really does a good job setting the mood. Plus, you went with purple and red which really pop out in their respective backgrounds. If this wasn't intentional, then you have great artistic instincts.
I love the two girls, particularly Crimson. The red highlights in her hair is a nice touch. I assume that's Mystic-Spectrum's design but you really managed to give her this gothy vibe and the way you pulled off her look just seems like an improvement to one of her pics. (I looked at her page and saw her version of her char.)
The snow and ravens are also a nice touch. This is great.

Beautiful. I like the poses of the both, I think you have a good feeling of anatomy. And it's interesting that this is (at least to me) not a picture of two oposite powers but of two contemplentary beings. The only critiqu I would add is that the lower jar of the girl in blue (Mysticaya?) looks pushed forward to much (I hope this is understandable, my english sort of forsakes me here...).

I can understand your english just fine. Thank you so much for your thoughtful comment and critique, most helpful! I could for the life of me figure out what was wrong with her face! I will have to keep that in mind in the future. Thanks
