Ha! As a Hopper fan I love the concept. The name you gave it rocks too.
If you attempted to approach Hopper's style, though, you have put too much details in. E.g the texture of the wood panel. I mean, Hopper was all about putting big, contrasting areas next to each other to arrive at an image. He was a master at selecting the right colours.
Of course that doesn't mean your work isn't good for that reason. It just a different style from Hopper's.

Thanks. You are spot on. Once I dropped in Van Gogh I knew I was completely off the reservation.
I really intended to paint Van Gogh just like this self portrait. Alas from a distance it looks like a big old mess. So then I was in clean up mode.

The Van Gogh is pretty cool, actually. And I think the likeliness with his self-portrait is actually pretty good. Certainly recognizable enough.
