Description

Built on imperial shipyards in greate numbers and also used by the Imperium, the Magnet-class was a modern, capable destroyer escort, able to fullfill a variety of missions. Armed with radar-guided 105mm and 66mm automatic weapons, they proved to be excellent anti-air escorts and capable submarine hunters with sonars, Ubootschreck ASW Mortar and Depth-charges, albeit at the cost of reduced surface-strike capabilties, with only three torpedo tubes provided.

Together with the smaller Trabant-class corvettes, the Magnet-class provided security to convoys and strike groups alike.
