Hello friend! I use your refs a ton, so please don't take this as me hating on them, but I'd have to agree with thegiywhorapedspace, and kindly let you know some of the hand poses here aren't correct. I work with pistols all the time so that's why I know! A few tips on how to (hopefully) easily rectify this:
The hand that handles the trigger should be flush against that top "wing" of the pistol. This makes it so, when the weapon is fired, it doesn't adjust in your hand or fly out of your grip. The goal is to have that webbing bit between your thumb and palm against it as tight as you can.
The finger is only ever on the trigger when you are 100% ready to fire.
As the other commenter mention, this is an out of date and inaccurate way of holding a pistol with the hand beneath the butt of the gun. Some still do it, though, so it's not like it no longer exists. But there are better ways of holding a gun that will make the shooter more accurate and have more control over the weapon.

Thank you for all your amazing refs though! I hope my comment helped and didn't come off as rude. Again, I use your refs all the time. ;w;

Sorry if this comes as douchy, but this should be tagged as an incorrect handgun handling, this is called ''tea cupping'' it's an common mistake by people untrained with firearms, it's disencouraged, because you can't control the recoil correctly. Correct handgun manipulation grip it's called ''thumbs forward pistol grip''. Also the lack of trigger discipline is notable.

It's pretty funny to me that people will try to charge money for incorrect poses.

Why do you say that?

That thumbs forward grip will get  the shooter's support thumbs injured or amputated by the gases escaping the frame/cylinder on a large revolver though.

I gave a link showing different correct grips, of course I was talking about a semiautomatic handgun (because that was shown in the images)

hehehehe I was waiting for someone like you XD
We could say the same thing for the archery reference sheet
but I don't care about the professional pose because
many people in real life keep holding the gun in the wrong way
and if you want to draw a normal people in a comic it's perfect!

so yep, maybe I should tag it as "incorrect pose" BUT it was intentional XD

And what happens when someone who doesn't know better uses this as reference for a character who is a trained shooter?

Well as I said I'm no expert. They looked right to me, since I've seen guns held like that before. I've checked the links above that you posted and now I know. I still think the references are pretty good though.
