Description This is my half-pet cat Dirtball. She loves hiding in the leaves growing right next to my apartment block. As well, she's less messy than last time I took a picture of her:Β kiborg-graph.deviantart.com/ar…

Oh thank goodness she got better I guess she just needed a man around for herself to keep looking pretty.

Or it simply was a phase of shedding. She still does things characteristic to her name - rolling in dust, sleeping in dry twigs and leaves, taking showers in rain and exploring the dirty basements of my apartment block. But hey, that's an alley cat's life for you.

If you take a look at this photo of her:Β  Β , you'll understand the meaning behind her name clearly.

Dirtball is looking pretty good here! Does she still love to roll in the dirt?

Oh, yes - she rolls around in dirt, sleeps in dry twigs and leaves, crawls through three-lobe beggartricks (this here plant: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bidens_t… ), bathes in the falling rain and thinks she's squeaky clean.

I love her! Those beggarticks look pretty nasty

Those are just seeds that tend to get caught in her coat. They eventually fall off, or Dirtball scratches them away with her itching and scratching. :3

They are ugly seeds, but if she can get them out, then it's good. Some burrs don't come out, and you have to cut the fur.

Yep. She still crawls through bushes with thorns, broken basement windows and so on, so the best scenario would be her getting her coat full of dry leaves and plant seeds; the worst, however... Let's just say she was running around with a bruised back once, because she had crawled through the window of the basement, and that very same window was broken. There was a shard of glass still inside the frame. The local street sweeper has since removed the remains of the shard.

You should have seen her back in June - her coat was literally dragging behind her on the ground. Thankfully, the local cat feeder (yes - there is a guy, who gets money from the local government for keeping track of the health and status of the local cat colony) managed to help her out by carefully removing the old coat.
