Description
I only wanted the telescope by the window as a backdrop for my character board I recently posted.. but I got COMPLETELY carried away and continued to build Dr Finlay'sΒ entire study!!It wasn't meant to happen but I quite like the final environment I ended up with, so I made a render of it anyhow!

Thank you so much mekheke! (I really must get back to that story one day, so many ideas for other scenes though)

You are welcome.
I know what it is. When I'll have finished my main story, I'll take some time away from it to make other things.
PS: Sorry for the late response.

Astonished picture! I love this 19th century atmosphere.
I almost can feel this old books smell.

Thank you Joe! I think it's become one of my favorites and it wasn't even meant to happen! (Just goes to show that sometimes we should just go with it!)

Thank you so much Magnus!
I tried building one of those solid cubes for the first time, to put over the set to help volumetric lighting. At first it looked like someone had started a fog machine in the room it was so thick!
I finally kept lowering the settings until it was very slight, like what you see here.
(I thought he might get thirsty making all those medicines!)

That's exactly what happened when I started working on my latest Centaur image.Β It's quite fun how they can start to take shape on all on their own.

Thanks Tonto! I actually wanted even MORE stuff on the tables so that it was completely cluttered, but I didn't have any more!

Superb! Just as I like. It's exactly the lighting I love with the victorian atmosphere. Close to my absolute reference: The Order 1886. It's one of my dream to imitate this game's look. Very good work with this beautiful volumetric lighting. And those oΓ―l lamps!!! I just love them!

Thank you Sir! I think that's why I carried on with this - I could see the lighting in my minds eye and wanted to see if I could do it.
That would be awesome to be able to create images like 'The Order 1886', also a little bit like 'Dishonored'.Β Β Β

Thanks Glen, me too, but I wanted even more clutter on the tables and ran out of propsΒ Β Β so that's when I wish I could paint stuff in!
Even so I'm pleased with it - now I have to get a story going with all these characters..
Glad you liked it!
