Just some sketches I made around Christmas 09. I bought the VeggieTales "The Story of St Nicholas" DVD, and was instantly thrown back to my childhood.Honestly, before VeggieTales, I didn't even know an asparagus existed.
To me, Junior was a piece of brocoli. 
I may color in the sketches. Who knows?
And ever since the beginning, Bob was my favorite. I don't know if it's because I couldn't stand eating tomatoes and that I felt he was safe from my stomach because of this, or if it was just the fact that I loved the way he told stories.
I love storytellers.
But Larry's the goofball, and you just can't have Bob without Larry.

Aww, I love VeggieTales! And hardly anyone draws fanart for them either. I love the way you have the original trio there at the bottom. You donβt ever see them together anymore in any of the new videos. Even Bobβs becoming more of a background character, and that makes me sad.

This pic threw me back to my days in grade school. Me and my family used to collect all the VeggieTales videos and we would play them until they wore out! I remember my music teacher making us sing all the Silly Songs in class! Especially "The Pirates Who Don't Do Anything," which is my absolute favorite! XD

I love how you draw the veggies! A couple of years ago, I was half-way obsessed with them. Now I still love 'em, but have kinda sorta moved on. We still have like 85% of their DVDs/VHSs, though and we love it when new ones come out.
We used to joke about "saving" Bob and Larry and the gang when we bought vegetables from the grocery store, too. xD
Ah yes, "The Story of Saint Nicholas". Awesome vid, that one. IMO, they haven't had a really awesome silly song in a long time, though.
Larry was my favorite when I was smaller, but around 2008 I developed a liking for Junior Asparagus. Right now I like them both pretty much the same.

Thank you! I was a huge fan as a kid, even got in the very first fanclub for a while.
And yeah, they haven't written a good silly song for a while now. My dad's ultimate favorite was the hairbrush song. When the silly song countdown came out on VHS and DVD a while back, we bought it and watched it. My dad was so happy that the hairbrush song got first place.
I don't know really why I chose Bob as my favorite. It always seemed like I would pick the less goofy one as my favorite when therer were duos like that.

Some friends in the town I grew up in actually introduced them to us when I was about eight or nine. The first one we owned was Rack, Shack and Benny, and it still remains as my favorite episode to this day. It was just amazing how a bunch of vegetables could actually catch everyone's attention!

I first saw them at a Christian children's camp I went to one summer. It was in Spanish too, which was weird but I loved it anyway. (I speak Spanish so I didn't mind). I dug around for the videos and my parents bought them for me. My collection of VHS has since been upgraded to DVD and is now passed on to my younger brother. X3
