Description
Mah influence map. Everyone seems to be doin' it, so.....My roommate told me that I think a LOT like an animator. She said that they all love to watch cartoons, they ALL love to use imagination, and they ALL LOVE PIXAR. Go figure, right?
1. My Savior, Jesus Christ, will always be at the top of the list. His Blessed Mother, Mary, too, but I just couldn't find a nice enough picture that would depict her. You can say that Catholics adore MAry more, but that is NOT TRUE. We love both Jesus and His mother the same. They both have importance. While Jesus died for us to give us eternal life, and taught us so many lessons (my fave being the story of the seeds
2. Astro Boy!! Tezuka's works are inspiring, especially with the morals behind his stories. Astro and Tamao, or Alejo, were awesome to watch in the 2003 series. The things they said, their expressions and curiosity, not to mention their design and adorableness.
3. How to Train your Dragon. If anything, this movie gave me an even bigger push towards animation. The story was touching, the animation was flawless, and the dragons!
4.Rocky and Bullwinkle. Say what you want; I will ALWAYS love R+B. Though corny and badly animated, it was so much fun to sit and watch, and laugh at. I think one of the reasons I know how to make people laugh is because I watched this.
5.Toad Patrol. Fur Foot, Beauty Stem, Elf Cup, Shaggy Mane, Puff Ball, the twins Oyster and Slipper Jack (SJ), Panther Cap, Earth Star and Mistle Toad. Gawsh, I still remember their names! This show was one of THE most adorable shows I have ever watched, and most of my cutest OC designs were based off of these toadlets.
6.Ratatouille. Or more specifically, Remy. This was the first art book I ever bought.
7.Meet the Robinsons. The moral of the story, "Keep Moving Forward," Totally hit me in the face. Not to mention Wilbur is SUCH an awesome character, along with Carl.
8.Petrie. I will always love Petrie. He not only served as a model for a robot OC I designed in my Astro Boy fanfics, but his simplicity, his child-like wonder, and his humor will always keep me watching the original LBT movies.
9.Albert Einstein. Yeah, you'r all thinking that it's weird, but it's true. I'm incredibly fond of the quotes he's said in the past, especially those about imagination. I have a poster of his sayings in my room right now.^^
10.JRR Tolkien. Best Author I have ever read books of, greatest imagination, amazing faith, and a superb ability to make you laugh. He's an inspiration for writers all over the globe, not to mention I went haywire and obsessed over the movies and his hobbits.
11.Danny Phantom. Watched it, fell in love. Dropped it because we lost cable. Forgot about it for several years. Fell in love with that nerdy fourteen-year-old all over again last March.
12.William Joyce. His stories are fantastic, hilarious, eccentric, and his art is imaginative and beautiful. I have several favorite childrens books illustrators, but he tops them.
13.Piano, Trumpet, music in general.Whether it be classical or not, all artists turn to music for a little inspiration... or fun.^^
14.Bone. Jeff Smith's ability to tell a story in pictures and his hilarious jokes and expressions really inspired me to keep finding my own style and working on facial expressions. Can't wait for the movie to come out!
15.Friendship. Particularily =2numagirls and =ecokitty 's. They argue, they disagree, but they're the most amazing online buddies I have ever come to know. Their art isn't only fabulous (and I'm telling the truth!) But so's their friendship. I'm using you as references!!!!
16.Toy Story/Pixar. What animator wannabee isn't in love with cartoons or Pixar? Or Woody? Or Buzz???
17.Obi-wan Kenobi. Yyyep, that's right. I'm a star wars fan.
18.Bob.The.Tomato. The best story teller out there. My honest-to-goodness teacher from childhood. My favorite beanie baby. I was above all a Bob fan, mainly because he was not only a good teacher, but also because I liked the characters who knew how to be serious and straight-forward, but also a little goofy.
There ya go. My influence map.

I can totally relate to this! Joseph is also a great influence: being Jesus' earth dad who protected and raised him! But again, I can totally relate to this, particularly Jesus, Tolkien, and Meet the Robinsons!

You have some very lovely inspirations! I can definitely relate to a lot of them, especially my faith in Jesus Christ. I'm still exploring that, myself, but I feel stronger each and everyday with His help.
I should totally make one of these! But I have so many influences, it might be hard to fit them all in. xD

Theres a BONES movie coming out?! I'd better finish up the comic...
Hey, do you know what they're doing? Live action CGI like the smurfs movie coming out, All CGI, CGI 3d or regular animation?

KicsterAsh In reply to spotty-bee [2010-09-02 23:41:59 +0000 UTC]
They don't have the release date yet, but they confirmed that they're making one.
I think they decided completely on CGI. People would have hated it if it was done live action CGI. I don't even want to see the Smurfs because of that.

Petrie) The coolest and funniest pterodactyl I know.
Tolkien) BEST. FANTASY NOVELIST. EVER.
DP) BEST. NICKTOON. EVER.
Music) Being in both band and choir in school, music has always been the joy in my life. ^-^

Obi-Wan) "The force is strong, my young Padawan.

Friendship) I can only sum up friendship in one word. HUGS. Whoa! Did I seriously take up that much space? Either I enjoy typing too much or my thoughts about your influence map seem to have gone in a tailspin. Sorry bout that.

yep. My dad's got tones of collectibles, and we used to love playing with some of them when he allowed us to (he kept an eye on us at the same time, too XD). I know! I bought the music for that song and I totally learned how to play it on piano! It was such a beautiful song
