It's really good! Your art is amazing, especially the DP posters, and seeing a tutorial by one of my favorite artists is a real goodie!(for beginners if you seriously don't think it's good.)

Lol no, there are much easier ways to draw and color in Photoshop than this, trust me XD I'm just the kind of person who uses really complicated ways to do things lol

This is great! I just had a question: What thickness of line do you use for the lineart?

Usually 5 or 3. If I want it to look more cartoony, I make it nine. But not very often.

lol
Well, The first photoshop I ever got was... uh, downloaded illegally by one of my high school computer freak friends.
The second came along in with my wacom tablet, which came to about 200$, (canadian) and the third photoshop I've got, which I use specifically for FX and stuff, I got from my grandma, who had a huge package of Adobe stuff and let me install it onto my laptop. So I was lucky.
Ah, don't worry. I know what it's like to be busy. I'm doing whatever drawing I can get done this summer before I don't have time during university.
So I'll stick around long enough to read your message whenever you're ready to write it!

Ash! Bootleg photoshop..you thug jk I wish i could get someone to get photoshop for me though..how lucky!
$200? Girl, you have serious cash i swear..everytime someone asks how much you spent for something, it's over $150 You must get a good allowance haha! Or maybe i'm just that poor
But what's a tablet like? I've been saving up for one..not working well. I spend my money in one place all the time. Does it take a while to get used to?? Aww, that's nice of your grandma!
Yea, i know. I hope university goes really well for you! Visit back sometimes tho :3
Sigh..i almost got carpel tunnel(sp) from my homework last night..my teachers don't play! I can only imagine the horror of college/university homework..

Well, I did save up. When I buy something that expensive, I normally wait until I have enough to buy at least two or three. Then I'm sure I'll have several dollars left over. And yeah, it seems like people ask me about the more costly things. I don't get an allowance, I just try my best at saving up, that's all.
Well, it is a little odd at first, but you get used to it the more you use it. You can use the pen like a mouse too, and a mouse even comes with the package! But I hardly use it. But it is definitely worth the money. I'd like to get the ones that the image you're drawing actually appears on the pad itself, like if you're drawing on a paper, but that one costs nearly 1000$. There is no way I'm getting one of those until I have a real job! lol
I will. It may not be as often, but I'll certainly visit.
Yeah, university homework is a total bust. You sometimes get huge assignments at the same time with deadlines near each other. I take off my mom; I tend to stress a lot when I'm overwhelmed, but you eventually come out of the storm. And then it's all sunny weather from there!... Uh, at least until the next assignment.

Well, I'm doing my best at saving. My grandma paid what Blue Cross couldn't cover for my wisdom teeth, so she gave me a check of 1200 dollars. Sadly, I had to use that to pay my parents back and then use another portion of it to pay for my plane ticket. I'm going to visit Vancouver on my birthday so that I can get acquainted with the place before I move there.

Awesome tutorial. I like it. A lot of things I see her I've picked up years ago. I see there's a kind of universality in a lot of people's methods. I'm sure this will be a big help to someone though. 8D

Thanks. I kinda figured this would just be something of a basic photoshop tutorial. And considering a lot of people have asked me how to highlight and shade, I figured I'd put the questions to rest and just post this.

Corel Painter is more a digital painter than image manipulator software and its pretty darn cool! I'm only learning to use it aswell
