Description
This was an assignment for my drawing class. We had to design a character, but since I had so many already, I simply asked if I could improve on one of them. Sunny was that character.So yah. I made some more improvements on her personality, giving her more weaknesses and such. Like, she actually hates bread because it gets stuck in her throat and makes her feel sick (you actually SHOULDN'T feed birds bread) and her wings are also shorter than ordinary canaries, which makes it a little more difficult for her to fly. That's why she glides more often.
So yah. Here we go^^

Every time I see one of these I think 2 things: "SWEET! REF SHEET!" and "I REALLY need to do these myself..."
The latter comment aside, I must say I just LOVE this sheet. Not only do you put in plenty of angles but the surrounding sketches show a wide range of expression. A very outgoing little bird I see. I totally dig this. <3

Very nice. yeah, my red animation pencils get screwed up on the scanner too. But its gotten to the point where i no longer even think of the color pink when a drawing is sketched. i just assume red.
anyhu, love the character ^_^ great expressions and variety too. one small question though, is he supposed to have a hand or a wing or a wing with fingers? because you have one drawing with what looks like a hand. one with what looks like digit shaped feathers, and then everything else is simple tiny wings.
not being nit-picky. not by a long shot. i adore this character and the drawings. so cute! but admittedly the question did lodge itself in my head...

It's a very cute character! The eyes and facial expressions are great, and the coloration is nice and clean. While personally I would make the fingers and feathers sort of flow together (like Owl from Winnie the Pooh) I think this could work out.
Also I didn't know you shouldn't feed them bread. Rice I knew about, bread, I did not.
