I knew you guys wanted FanEars. So I made some. PLEASE THE PEOPLE!
I made chibis because I plummeted into an artblock after pushing my my recent motivation too much.
Entry:
Draw a full body (colored if possible) picture of the FanEar you want and post a comment on this deviation to enter. You must give them a name, gender, and basic personality trates (Ex. grumpy, playful, antisocial etc.) You have two weeks to complete it. More than one person may enter for the same adoptable. Character development and Background Story is a plus when I’m choosing between people. Minor design changes and addition of accessories and scars are permitted.
Deadline: July 12th - 11:59pm Central Time
You may not:
•Change the species
•Sell the character - If you decide you don’t want it, tell me and I’ll put the design back up for adoption.
•Tryout for the character without the intent of drawing them more than once. Please don’t neglect them. I want them to go to a good home.
•Make them too human-like in their apparel/actions. FanEars are about tribal stage, and retain most of their animal instincts.

All would be a bit long, but I can hive you a general idea. xD
Fanears always live near water. Though they are mostly on land, they need to frequently hydrate because they get very dry when they don’t. They are amphibians, making them both land and water dwellers. Fresh water only. c:
They live in tribes/clans though they are very advanced with tools, taking a lot of their knowledge from the Xyri (most intelligent and dominating species of the planet). They are not quite as smart as humans/Xyri and retain most of their animal instincts.

Fanears are semiaquatic. Though most of the time they are on land. They are fresh water only, but there is a saltwater subspecies (that looks different and more adapt to swimming). They’re carnivores though eating grass and other plants on occasion for a certain nutrient isn’t unheard of (like dogs).

I use PhotoShop and the normal brush tool, but the program doesn’t determine the quality of the design. I could have made these in MS paint if I wanted.
