The setting sun cast long shadows across Seneca in steady intervalls as he walked the pillared corridor that surrounded the Lions' Den. It was time for him to head to his other home, with his own human, from a day of miscellaneous business at this household.
His expression relaxed, very neutral as he walked, there wasn't much going on through his mind as he went.
That was until, a skittering of pawsteps sounded from behind him.
Slowing, his brow furrowed in confusion. Who could it be? He didn't particularly mind any of the members of the house. And with the idea he was happy to see them, the hybrid turned around with an easy smile-

Oh...
It took barely an instand for Seneca to pull up short, his ears automatically drooping no matter how neutral he ached to keep his expression. The smile ever so slowly, almost naturally, fell away and he tilted his head in question at the apprentice before him.
Ever since Lucifer and his littermates had been born, Seneca had made an effort to avoid crossing paths.
It was not at though he held any animosity toward them, but because it reminded him with a pang of what he could never have.
Not cubs, no. But the relationship type. With their biological sire.
Seneca tried not to flush with shame.
"Lucifer." He started, nodding in greeting. "It is nice to see you well. Forgive my surprise, to what do I owe the pleasure."
