Both were friends.

I wanted to show Kestrel with her faithful companion Paido for a while now, but since I didn't really like most of his previous designs, I only got around to it now, with his new design.
I just learned how to make custom brushes, so I can have the XM logo watermarked in my pics now, so people can know what pics go with the comic.

Attention to detail is amazing here, very well done!
Right arm is a little bulky, but that is so easy to ignore. My god the lighting, It is the most impressive aspect of your work in my opinion. Your use of shadows, and the spears of light are incredible. And I found the 'angry' nipples to be a funny/cool addition. XD
Her jewlery is also very nice... Gaudy enough, but not over kill, save the hair holders (i have no idea what to call them) but they are a very cool addition. My favorite bit of jewlery on her infact. Very simple and elegant tatooes, overall this picture is simple, straightforward, with many subtle elements that make it eyecatching and enjoyable to stare at. For a very, very long time.

Awww! I like the fluffy guy, who I assume is Paido. The demon girl is also very cool; nice anatomy and proportions. The background is interesting, looking almost like wrinkled paper at the top.

And the... um... Paido is cool. Like a horned owl-cat-something (maybe you had other bird in mind, hard to tell). Are you sure about the two tails thing, though? I think that maybe a tail that is a combination of feline and bird trait would do more good... but it's just my taste, I think.

The reason I didn't draw him is because he looked like a winged cat, and for me, winged cats are boreing... I'd rather him look like a fat furrbie then a generic winged cat anyday.

It's your character and i just made a suggestion. Well he does look a lil bit fat, Kestrel has been giving him too many treats.
Well he looks more original this way, never seen anything like it, but i have seen fliying cats (in drawings, of course). So maybe it's better this way, more original. (I still think he looks fat)

The hint of line art is beautiful, especialy over that washed out, grainy colour (no offence with that, it works excellently and creates a beautiful sense of fantasy and distance).
