Looks like she is wearing armor. Besides, she's an elf wielding two swords, obvious archetypes would suggest she's a nimble type of fighter, heavy armor would only hinder her.

Well, yes, she should wear better armour. But she is so badass she doesn't need it. 
(Also, sometimes it's not easy to reason with elves. A bit like the guy at the club wearing shades. "It's friggin dark in here, why you wearing shades?" - "To look cool, duh.")
