Description
Another angle on the Rigel Class I built. The render was originally a test with the planet in the background that was built using Grand Designer then exported. The Rigle class was added to give a sense of exploration to add to the wonder a bit. ΒRelated content

The rendering on that planet conner is fantastic Im particularly fond of your more colourful works being that in space you can use lots of different tones from the spectrum's but i love the simplicity on the palette for this one it really shows that you dont need to rainbow the crap out of an image to convey excellent lighting i also really like the little lights <3

A very nice scene overall. Definitely befitting the spirit of Star Trek.

Absolutely. Plus, after all, Star Trek was (and still should be) about exploration, not about space battles; that's the thing when you try and make something too 'mainstream', so you can cash in on a franchise. You have to cater to everyone, including those who would usually not even know a bout Star Trek. . .

The funny thing The Wrath of Khan is considered one the best movies of the franchise and seems to draw in people who've never seen Trek before. Striking a balance between the action and telling a good story are key whist keeping to the ideals of the original show. Even Voyage Home with practically no shooting is loved among fans and non fans because of the message and execution.

Yeah, the balance is important; that's what makes a good story. People didn't like Insurrection for instance; I loved it. Great balance between story, characters, humor and action. Star Trek is not Star Wars, and turning it into that doesn't help anyone.

I like the edge of the saucer in this design, with that black rim between decks. Β

Me too, despite some minor niggles I had with the original design I really like it.Β
