Description
Falling asleep to the image of a happy lil Papyrus is one of the most wholesome things.

Back in 2016 when I began to pair Sans with Muffet, I stubbornly wanted almost every other male away from Muffet, even Papyrus. And during the inception of this post-game story, Papyrus was relegated to a far away secondary character.
Thankfully, things have changed, and including Papyrus into the equation actually HELPED me visualize a charming way they first met. And besides, I realized doing Sans without Papyrus just isn't the same thing.

Thanks to these changes, I also made Papyrus a more relevant figure in the story and developed him in a way to avoid flanderizing him, on top of being a present member of the family composed by him, Sans, Muffet and Sprog. So you can bet that the next family doodle dump is gonna be sweet with a lot of Uncle Pap action. Now, I still love me romantic fluff between Sans and Muffet, but by adding Papyrus I injected a more sentimental, relatable sense of love and unity that I think the earlier drafts of my post-game story missed. It's not just about a pairing anymore, it's also about three characters that were destined to become a family.

I will explain how this headcanon works and even fits with the game, but one thing at a time, the thing I want to get across is that I have it all figured out and I cannot wait to show more of my vision.
