Description
No, this isn't related to my Blue Canary idea (although they share similar themes), Kloudin is a stand-alone character I created for the purpose of being a comfort OC.
On the same note 's Raggedy Penny and 's Barley the dragon are, so there really isn't much of a plot or story being set up, you'll just happen to see wholesome drawings or short comics about this guy hanging out with a dolly and a young dragon.
Also he's already taken, another bestie of mine is working on her own OC who's gonna be Kloudin's love interest.

Anyway, Kloudin's backstory is something of a more tragic version of Shrek form the first movie:
he once used to be a clown who made people happy, but then times have changed and now people consider clowns to be some of the most loathsome and scary things ever, so Kloudin lost the uphill battle and just decided to embrace the new status quo and lives all alone in the woods and doesn't really try to socialize with anyone because everyone is afraid of him.
...Up until he's approached by a living doll child and her dragon bestie.

Despite the sad past, however, Kloudin isn't an Eeyore all the time, I do plan to use him for some funny situations too.
And I also want to make him a HEROIC scary clown, because while he doesn't do anything scary other than existing, when someone messes with his friends or someone he loves, he goes beast mode and puts on his war face. Do whatever irrational act of hatred you want to do to him, but DO NOT fuck with the people he cares about or your ass is grass and he'll be the lawnmower.

I was inspired by Emmett Kelly's 'Weary Willie' sad clown, tho I'm glad I managed to create a unique eye makeup design that with a minor modification complements the scary face beautifully. And yes, his makeup and necktie change from blue to red when he's mad. He wears his trousers with suspenders backwards. And his shoes are based on the toon shoe Judge Doom melts in the Dip from Roger Rabbit.
