Description
Just some good old Skelebros. This comic reflects how fall is definitely coming and it's getting colder outside. RIP summer...I always wondered why in some fanart Papyrus has white arms while in other they're black, so this is my explaination.
Hopefully nobody has made this joke already before me.
Sans and Papyrus are Toby Fox's creations, not mine (unfortunately).

Normally I would argue the fact that since it's black, at least they would get SOME warmth since it absorbs heat from any other color, but unless if they kept that paint in a place where it's exposed to some sort of light, I doubt it would do them much good since they're underground. That's what I think about it at least. Still, I do like the comic do.

I'm pretty sure he doesn't actually have any black things on his arms. His overworld sprite is so small that drawing his arms white wouldn't practical - to do that, they'd need to be at least three pixels wide, which would made them seem stockier than bones should be. So Toby just made them just little strings of pixels, and because making that string of pixels white would make them blend into the snow, they're black.
The joke's still great, I'm just here being all technical and literal like I always am, lol

I did say that as reply below, and yet people still proceed to draw Pap with black sticks as arms lol Or black bones. I do have to say that the black arms are greatly helpful to cosplayers, tho.
Still, I think I'll be always drawing him with white bone arms.

When I cosplayed as him a few months back, I used one of the arms and legs of one of those all-body skeleton costumes you can get at the store, so they were black but at least they had bones on them.

In my headcanon the black on his body is a special stocking-like thing he wears to keep ice and snow from accumulating on his bones. He can take his bones apart a little bit so as to get the stocking on properly, hence the spaces between his bones, e.g. his tibia and fibula bones and his lower arm bones.

In come fanart his limbs don't even look like bones, just black sticks. I suppose it's because the people that draw him with black arms base it on the small Papyrus in the game while those that draw him with white arms on the larger image of Pap that appears in the game: in which his arms and legs are white bones.

Haha, cool! My headcanon is that the black arms is actually part of his costume, considering he got his battle body from a costume party. Whether they're painted on, or are just some sorta skeleton clothing, I'm not sure. But either way, that's my headcanon ^^
