Description
youtu.be/7AmgOOTDYNIRecently I discovered it through that now-1-month-old video and I became obsessed.
Submechanophobia is the fear of half submerged or fully submerged man-made objects. I dunno why but it fascinates me so much.
Probably it's the impression thatΒ water is usually considered something of a kyptonite to animatronics or robots or otherwise mechanical stuff... but the freaks that evoke this fear are like monsters that figured out how to resist that and actually make it their element.
Now, those pictures and clips don't scare me at all, but honestly I would rather NOT get in the same waters where those fucking things are because it looks so unsanitary and disgusting (diving into the clean sea to see underwater statues or ships would be cool tho)
I was just inspired to draw a scenario that perfectly visualizes utter, unadulterated submechanophobia.
PS: I was so thrilled when in the video I recognized the human-faced sea serpent from the "I Corsari" ride in Gardaland, it's an hour away from where we live and it evokes such good memories. And so much PRIDE.
