Whew! This one started good, then gave me some trouble, then got fun again!

One question: does the lens flare look ok? 'Cuz I have a version without it... Lemme know if ya wanna see it.
Anyways...

This my part of a trade with , in which THIS time the challenge was to draw FF characters doing some everyday, normal activity that most everyone else is usually doing. She told me some of her favorite characters, and at the mention of these two, Ingus and Refia from FF3, I instantly had the idea of doing laundry! Despite the fact that I've yet to play the game (need... DS!!! ), I couldn't resist the opportunity to draw people that I had never drawn before! Granted, I didn't draw Ingus in his default outfit, but who wears armor to do the laundry? So I put him in a thief outfit instead because it was... well, I dunno, more fitting for the laundry task?

I'm sure all that questing really can dirty ones clothes, and with the ability to change jobs, there are so many clothing items that need washing after a dungeon!
Plus, these characters are younger than most FF main characters, and I figured laundry is something we've all had to do for the family at that age.
Can you guess which job class outfits are featured? Some are obvious, others not so much...

Initially, I was having some trouble with how to color this one... After some frustration with doing it in Photoshop like I usually do, I finally said "SCREW IT" and went to do the shaded part of the pic in Corel painter. I kinda like the feel of the paint strokes to this, and it was something I hadn't done much of before and wanted to give a go at. That explains the whole "fun, frustrated, fun" aspect to making this.

In the end, I really enjoyed making this, and it was cool to try out something new!
