Another RP group. because I can... and because I like to Rparty.

Note: i put him in Eala because even though he doesn't really "fit in"- I didn't want to choose the same thing I would normally go for (which would have been foxeh) so I put him in the house that I think fits him the least- but also still fits him in other ways if that makes sense /slapped.. moron of course it doesn't.

Name: Shae Lantern
Age: He LOOKS around 15/16 (he's not sure of his real age but it's at least one or two hundred years)
Species: Will o' the Wisp
Height: 180cm (all the conversion sites gave me different "foot" measurements ranging from 5.9 to 5.11)
Weight: 56kg- yes he's underweight.. or.. would be if he was human.
Gender: he can change that at will- so I ticked all boxes (lol)
but NO he can't be half one half the other.. he's either Male or Female at one time.

Notable Skills:
# Can shape shift his gender. (he's usually male so that's what i drew him as.. and I'm going to refer to him as a "he" in this bio too)
# Poetry- He doesn't tend to share it much- and don't misunderstand, he isn't a "fluffy bunnies and rainbows happy happy lovie dovie" person... His poetry is almost all quite dark
# Deceptive and Pursuasive talking- Willow o' the Wisps and known for leading people astray to drown in swamps and marshes, this shows in Shae's ability to talk and act very persuasive. He also good at messing with peoples minds using this same skill.

# He can Play Violin, but he hasn't really practiced or been that interested in it for some time.
#An orb of usually blue light follows him around, this often really annoys him- it's the same light his kind use to lure people to their doom. He can trap the light inside a lantern easily and is getting better and better at extinguishing it at will.
#eyes change colour. His eyes have no pupils and when he extinguishes his light they turn the same eerie blue colour, usually though they are purple.
#has trouble seeing in the Day. In the daytime he is almost partially blind and struggles to see, and prefers the night for this reason.

History:
With no memories of his life as a human- if there ever was one, all Shae remembers from his early past is death.
More specifically the kind caused by himself.
Countless humans, drowned or lost after following his gentle, promising light into the unknown.
He doesn't remember exactly why he killed, all he remembers is their afraid and lonely expressions, their uncertain movements and most often their screams of terror when he left them in the dark.
The idea that he murdered people itself doesn't tend bug him- it's that he can't remember why he did. The question is almost always nagging at him, especially when he's alone. He has no hatred of humans, and doesn't really see any reason to hurt or kill them at all, but he has to admit, even now he still gets a mild excitement in the back of his mind thinking about the idea of it.
Don't get me wrong- it isn't a murderous urge, but maybe it's more like a sick fascination or interest.
Sometimes he considers going back and resuming his old habits and pattern, just to see if it helps him find answers- and maybe he would- but even though he doesn't admit or even know it, deep down his true heart- unavailable to even him, is in turmoil.
With no purpose or direction he wandered into modern society, and although he managed to learn about today's customs fairly easily, he could never fit in.
His eyes and strangely thin body were the least of his worries. The ghost light (as it is known as) is something that follows him everywhere, and he has extreme trouble extinguishing it for long periods of time, like say more than 20 minutes.
This paired with his difficulty seeing in the daytime made it imposable to blend in, so instead he journeyed in search of the Academy and safe haven he had heard about from a traveling fairy, as either a place to learn to control his appearance and magic- or simply as a place to stay away from the prying eyes of humans.

Personality
Shae, try as he might, has trouble being empathetic for people. Not because he can't sense or understand their emotions- but because he simply can't find it in himself to care. He isn't necessarily a bad person, he just doesn't feel much for others.
he hasn't for as long as he can remember. Most of the time he is your friend, whether he truly is, or it just seems that way- but he has rare moments where he WILL turn out all the lights and leave you in the dark.
He doesn't get affected by people being angry or upset with him- but is usually just interested in their emotions.
That said- he DOES have emotions. He has times when frustration about his past can make him act moody and snappy, or at times is so strong he breaks down into fits of sobbing. He has things that annoy him, and things that make him happy.
He will always try and be someones "friend" even if he doesn't particularly like them, because he enjoys twisting those people (and sometimes other people) around his little finger.
He may not really tend to feel for people- but he knows how to pretend to.
He's also quite flirtatious and will act so with most people, or anyone he finds attractive, as he- not being either male or female- doesn't really have any preferences in gender when it comes to "love."
