The planet Cyria in the Eihme system, nestled in between the Crux and Carina Arms of the Milky Way, is the homeworld of the Pronirr and the Concordat, a major power of the Garician Worlds and the Rendanor League.
Its host star, Eihme, is an younger, somewhat more metal rich but less bright G type star, with Cyria being the second planet in orbit with a period of 234 days (or 139 local days with a 40.3 hour long day). Despite being so similar to Earth in terms of size, density and mass, even having a similar moon in the form of Masteege, Cyria environment is far different from Earth; a cooler interior has resulted in a weak magnetic field, and a somewhat thin atmosphere with very small ozone layer results in its surface being bombarded with deadly solar rays. Thus, its surface, comprised of two major continents, is fairy desolate with few plants (most of which are restricted to the polar regions).
Animal life has adapted to be either nocturnal, burrowing during the day, or developed a specialized semi-metallic carapace for limited protection, though some, such as the native pronirr, have not only a very dense metallic exoskeleton compared to other species but also very potent regenerative abilities. The pronirr are highly individualistic and have only alliances of convenience and until entering the space age had little infrastructure to speak of- today Cyria is an industrial powerhouse, the center of the Concordats main shipyards and industrial output, which has grown so large and productive some small interstellar empires have less combined production capacity than Cyria by itself.
Despite its immense power and influence, the Concordat remains purely an alliance of convenience for mutual protection- although there will never really be a time no danger threatens them, most pronirr remain firm in the sentiment and would dissolve it in less than a day if such times came. Nowhere is this more evident than on Cyria itself, the most libertarian world in known space.
