A small, low mass world orbiting a relatively young G type star, Manla is the homeworld of the Da Sigaren. Orbiting the star in 324 days (62 local days), highly eccentric orbit means its climate is extremely unpredictable and harsh, and its two small moons do little to keep its axial tilt stable. Most of the year is dominated by a sheering heat wave, rendering most of its surface into a barren, rocky landscape with prominent canyons.
The mostly nomadic sigarens evolved to survive mostly within the canyons, migrating along their length to forage for hardy plants. Several of their isolated enclaves however have emerged over the millennia to bring the species into a more advance age. Contacted by the League around the year 1900, their proximity to the Esseles Hierarchy has turned the world into a major military bastion for the League, although the sigaren themselves and the government which has emerged since first contact, simply called The Common, dose little to participate in the League's affairs besides allowing its bases in the system and maintaining several resorts on Manla for alien soldiers off duty.
