vs.
The stadium was still closed and battles were to be held where ever the contestants wanted.
Rex and Linqu's battle moved to the desert region of the island.
Soon enough into he battle, Noise (Dragonite) became enraged, firing whatever tickled her fancy. Skrix (Wartortle) just barely managed to escape the latest of these barrages, an Ice Beam.

This is unfinished (imo) and I don't know when I'll be able to finish it. Because as soon as I had started reworking the background my tablet went ka-poot. Haven't even had the damn thing for a year and it's crapped out on me already (I haven't even used it that often and generally, keep it nice and safe and in good condition. The stupid wire near the actual tablet is what's being troublesome). So I'm pretty pissed right now.
Besides my tablet woes, I started experimenting with perspective again, and failing at it again (I'm determined to nail top views if it's the last thing I do c:< ). A bit of a mixed shading practice as well (didn't go overboard with shading like I usually do, only 2 layers of shade and 2 layers of highlights (technically one, the other's just detail from the ice beam's color)).
yeah...I'm not in a good mood now. But hey, at least I can start practicing with marker-pencil combos again ([link] ) ;-; *sniff*
