Locomotion: Knuckle-walks/runs, but capable of moving around on hind legs alone for short periods.

Special Moves:

*Electromagnetic Burst: Enhanced by his cybernetic parts, Zenilark fires a silver, short range blast of Electromagnetic energy. While it boasts some good concusive force, it's mostly effective at dealing serious damage to electronics/robotics.

*Energy Overload: Zenilark's life support system goes into overload; making him faster, stronger, and giving his ElectroMag burst more power. However, in his overloaded state, he's more vulnerable to damage, and there's a significant cool down period after using it; making him slightly slower and weaker for a short time.

Bio: A cyborg creature created by an alien race at civil war, Zenilark was cloned from an extinct native species to serve as a vanguard to combat the rebel faction. However, a malfunction occurred during the cloning process, and Zenilark was severely damaged as a result. Luckily however, his soon-to-be masters crafted for him some cybernetics and a life support system that would enhance him beyond his biological limits. He serves as a watchdog for his masters, who reward him with the spoils of victory after decimating entire platoons and battalions. While wholly loyal; he is also headstrong and temperamental; and not particularly crafty. Thus far however; it hasn't hindered him in combat. But how well will it serve him when the competition starts to heat up....

Appeal: An all around character with a lean towards strength, Zenilark is good at overcoming obstacles with his climbing capabilities, grappling with opponents, and dealing serious damage with a few good punches. However, his cybernetic eye and the life support system on his chest are notorious, relatively easy to hit weak points, so players should block and crouch often to avoid taking large amounts of damage. The rest of his body is relatively meaty; especially his back and arms, and can absorb most small hits with proper defensive actions. While he has good melee reach and strong attacks, he's also limited to close range; as his energy attack, while being strong and having some good knock back, doesn't have good range and fires in a shotgun-like burst. His Energy overload can prove to be devastating, however it doesn't last very long, and debuffs him for a short time afterwards; so it should only be used sparingly. Overall, Zenilark is a hard hitting but all around character that's very mobile and relatively easy to control, but lacks ranged attacks and is best for getting in close, doing some serious damage, and backing off to recover and collect himself before charging back in. Beware of Electricity based attacks! Zenilark is based on cybernetic kaiju such as Gigan and Guilala, while also having an ape-like body that lets him climb, grapple, and grab with ease.

This is my entry for the "Gateway Beatdown" contest hosted by for the group. The purpose of the contest is to design a new kaiju using certain 3 word prompts given to the contestants. The kaiju are imagined and designed with the idea they would be playable characters in a fictional kaiju fighting game (think of Godzilla: Save the Earth), and so have to be described accordingly.
