Description
Based on Death Metal's weapon from No More Heroes, with a few liberties. In the artbook, the two blades were stacked on top of each other, with one side being sloped and the other being flat. But when extended, both sides were still sloped. I've retooled it slightly so that the second blade is hidden inside the first, and extends out.Related content

omg i love this weapon. i hate how the game ditches death metal like a normal enemy.

It was a shame, but he's also one of the Bosses most people remember as he's the very first, and, does have a cool introduction.
He got a bit of a 'second coming' in the re-release of NMH in HD on PS3/360 too.

well the thing i hate the other 9 had introductions and were really known..but death metal was more a damned tutorial boss.

So it's supposed to flip forward? Kind of like a switch blade? If so the handle is upside down in the open version VS the closed one.
I'm just not seeing how the handle folds open. >_<

Hate to resurrect the dead, but i think a much more efficient opening design would to have the blades slide up. Leaving the handle in place and the second portion of the blade slides out of the first. Although it would leave the handle offset from the blade, but that merely provides more cleaving goodness. Dont know about the game, but LOVE the concept! Awesome work!

Ok, here's a quick illustration to show how it works. The handle never moves, the blade does on a central pivot in 4 steps.
