Updated from the popular Bordermaker 1.5 . This update boasts new features to make your bordermaking even easier. Perfect for any deviation or prints. The help manual has been improved as well, so if you should run into any problems, please read through it. Otherwise you can always contact me for any help you might need. And as always, suggestions are greatly appreciated as to how i can make this better.

UnChecked ratios will not be displayed in the results.
Deviant Bordermaker automatically checks for new versions available.
Improved the scaling in the seperate Preview Window.
Added the ability to change the background color of the Preview Window.

Technically you could take a screenshot of the boardered image in your browser, but i wouldn't reccomend it. I have since released Deviant Bordermaker 2.00 and if you have Photoshop CS2, you can automate the creation of the images with the proper borders. I'm working on making the script compatible with CS. 7.0 support looks bleak as i don't think you can make menus with scripts in that version. Let me know if you run into any other problems.

kingkool6 In reply to evilneedscandy [2005-11-05 17:04:04 +0000 UTC]

That's all they are, HTML files. I could have put this on the web and ran it like a website application but it would be impossible for users to load their own photos for previewing. Just unzip everything and run DBM.html and you will be up and running.

Dude well this works to some extent. But when i press the preview button as the last step a new window pops open and loads a box with border but the image is not present. it says the path is invalid and the path does not have actual photo path to it, it's the path to the folder where the photo is, but it doesn't capture the image file itself. i tried going through the code to see wats up but i can't find it, eh, didn't really look that good lol. but if you can check on this for me, i would greatly appreciate it , its very well done, but i dont know why this isnt' working.

kingkool6 In reply to SensoryCore [2005-08-07 05:54:32 +0000 UTC]

Ok actually you have disovered a small little bug. The quick fix: change any upper case Z to a lower case z.
Reason: When DBM sends the image path to the Preview window the code says the Path ends at an upper case Z, that is why it only shows the image folder. Sorry for the inconveince. I shall stomp that bug right out in the next release.

i'll get right no it, but just for future reference, before i come back with more bugs answeres to your questions
1.Weird. What OS are you using?
windows xp pro
2.What browser?
firefox
3.Have you tried a different browser?
ie and firefox
4.You might want to try downloading it again and then seeing if that fixes the problem. Also make sure DBM.htm and preview.htm are in the same folder. Although, I don't really think that is the problem since the preview window pops up.
dled it like 5 times
5. Does this happen with the first picture you load into DBM or is this after a 2nd or 3rd loaded picture?
happens with every picture, the first time i load it, i see it in the top of the page with preview,
the error happens when i press preview on the bottom the page and it opens a brand new page with border customization in place.
i see the border and the place for the picture , but no actual picture hahah.
6. Do you see your picture first load above the word "Preview" when you select your image in DBM.htm?
yes

AND FINALLY BUT NOT LEAST, HAPPY BIRTHDAY FOR dA hope to see more of your work. I hope to be making more work. I'm a newb at photoshop cs2 and after much programming in c++ and java, i need to learn this because it's fun! and because i need a break. lol. HAPPY BIRTHDAY HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO YOU, HAPPY BIRTHDAY dA HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO YOU!!

i downloaded it, but am not really sure how to use it. Like, it wont let me see the picture that i've browsed, and it wont let me see the preview. there's just a red X in the upper left hand corner of where the preview is supposed to be.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

kingkool6 In reply to Skye-Blue [2005-05-31 03:11:16 +0000 UTC]

click the help link in Step 1. It will take you directly to the Walkthrough section. If that still doesn't answer your questions you can check out the rest of the help document by scrolling to the bottom of the walkthrough and clicking the link "Back to Help". Click the "troubleshooting" section and See if you have javascript and cookie enabled. Deviant Bordermaker needs both of these features enabled. If you are still having questions, let me know.

Okay, i did what you told me to do, but when i pressed help, the page cannot be displayed came up. And the same thing happend when i pressed walkthrough and troubleshooting. AAAHHH! what's going on? I'm so confused. There's just little red x's in the upper left hand corner. THAT"S IT. and i don't know why.

Luckily I have all of tyhe help files on-line here -> [link]

But the Deviant Bordermaker zip file should have had all of the help files. Make sure DBM.htm, help.htm, preview.htm, and HEXCode.htm are all in the same folder. There should also be another folder in there called "help files" if you want to run the help files from your computer.

Weird. Hmmm What to do next? Have you tried running a virus scan as well as spyware scan? Try [link] for a free online virus scan and Spybot Search and Destroy - [link] and AdAware [link] for spyware scans.
