Description
Another Scynavoid weapon, the Impulse is used as heavy artillery against human vehicles or particularly unlucky squadrons. It uses a line of plasmodial psuedomagnet capable of propeling atmospheric gasses via similar principles to a Gauss Gun. The speed of the particles is enough to shred holes into flesh, bone, stone, metal, armor, and pretty much anything else that gets in its direct path.Made of a CD rack, an old broken Nerf Super Soaker gun, and some other stuff. Should be done soon, I wanna detail it and add aging/damage effects. Those silver circles light up.

Feel free to use the CD-Rack-Thing, I can't take credit for it myself either. I modified and professionalized the initial idea from an episode of Indy Mogul's Backyard FX youtube series, who themselves saw it in a short film and built on the concept.
The best part of this project is that you can still use it as a CD rack.

A CD rack... this is one of the reasons I'm a fan.

If you're a fan of CD-Rack use in props, subscribe to Indy Mogul's Backyard FX series on Youtube. That was my basis for this project. I've wanted to do it for a while, actually, but their variant looked pretty much as good as it was gonna get at the time, and I wanted to really add something to the idea myself. Mission accomplished!

I subscribe to them on YouTube... I just never have time to check out any of the people I follow on YouTube sadly. I still love the aesthetic and to be honest I didn't realize it was a CD rack until you said.. which makes it all the more epic.

Glad you like it! It was a bit of an in-betweener project that came out way, way cooler than expected.

Heh, thanks. Feel free to mess with me, I make the guns purely since that's what I started with. I could have just as easily have been an accomplished chairmaker; it's just the form the art took.

"accomplished chairmaker" that made me really laugh some reason.

It's amazing how you can make a gun out of stuff lying around the house.

With imagination, some paint, and the right adhesive, everything can be made into anything.
