Description
This is the most epic animation I've ever made I reckon!Through the Fields is a song by The Little Unsaid.
I animated this in Photoshop so you can imagine how long I've spent on this, it's certainly been a journey and a half!
Special thanks to John Elliot and Alex Horsfall for giving me this opportunity. I hope we can work together again sometime in the future!

Though that thing is heartbreaking
For me the guy is painting the life he'd love to have; with that woman next to him; and the dog/wolf is his hope.
So he tries to hold onto his dream and hope (following the canine without even knowing where he'll end up) and in the end he gives up because he realises that he can't keep on going and he can't reach his dream (canine is out of reach). That's probably not the meaning of that thing at all, but eh. I have a really weird way to understand things anyways XD

That's a really deep analysis, I love that! We left the meanings of the animation a little bit open because we felt like people would enjoy interpreting it in their own way. So it was really great reading what you made of the narrative!

Oh right in the end you assume he's just sorta stopped because he can't reach the wolf because he somehow managed to get down there!
Whether or not he's actually given up or not is not clarified, maybe one for a sequel to explain?

Wow! That's incredible! Beautiful animation and really well-executed, touching story! You really took full advantage of the abstraction/surrealism that animation could offer in helping to convey the emotions and events of your story! My favourite detail was the scurrying white lizard.

can I just say wow. The style is gorgeous, I have to admit i spent most of this staring at how pretty it was instead of taking in the story. (oops) but i can't help but feel calmed when watching this.

I was wondering if the wife turned into a wolf. Like maybe a werewolf supposedly killed her, but she actually turned into a wolf instead.Ā Not sure. XD I enjoyed this, great work.
