Chapter 4 - Eye On You
When Envy rushed to the first floor, she was shocked. There were zombies breaking in and busting the door open. Some of them were even bloody and deformed.
“Get out of here!” Envy yelled as she attacked the zombies. Envy then went to close the door. As she reached it, a blood zombie from outside began to charge towards her at a fast speed. Envy screamed and shut the door, but its hand got stuck in it. The blood zombie growled and gurgled as it frantically clawed its hand around. The hand then fell to the ground limp as the door chopped it right off. "They can open doors now!?!?!?” Envy cried. More zombies bursted open through the other door on the other side of the lobby. Suddenly, an explosion went off in the hoard.
"Envy!" A voice yelled from upstairs. Envy looked up and saw Andrew and the others with their weapons out.
“Andrew, what’s going on?” Envy asked.
“There’s a Blood Moon, Envy!” Andrew said. “The zombies can break open doors during this event!” Envy felt more zombies pounding on her door. She quickly grabbed a nearby chair and placed it under the doorknob.
"That should hold them." Envy said. More zombies could be seen entering in from the other door.
"Envy, patrol the outside! We'll take it from here!" Andrew said.
“On it!” Envy said. She went outside, and started slaughtering every single zombie that approached her. As she did this, a demon eye swooped down and smacked her in the face. Three more demon eyes then showed up and ganged on her. In response, Envy began swinging her mace around as they approached her. She then watched more demon eyes approach and fuse into a drippler, a disgusting bloody cluster of eyeballs blinking back at her. Envy was really grossed out at this grotesque abomination. It even made an awful sound as she tore it apart with her yoyo. Ever since Envy broke that shadow orb back in the chasm, she has been getting a suspicious feeling that there was an evil presence watching her. The feeling has gotten stronger and stronger, as the night progressed. When it was midnight, Envy retreated up to the roof of the house. The suspicious feeling was stronger than ever. Envy frantically looked around her to see if she could find her pursuer, but there was nothing in sight but the full red Blood Moon. Then suddenly, it vanished. Envy finally calmed down. Maybe it was just her imagination. But then, that moment passed. Envy noticed a huge round shadow looming over her. She turned around, and gasped in fear as she came face to face with the Eye of Cthulhu. Envy felt paralyzed in fear as she stared at the giant eyeball. She was so scared that she started shaking. Envy slowly walked backwards. Just then, she fell off the ledge behind her, causing her to pass out. Before Envy could hit the ground, Andrew and Frederick caught her.
“Thanks, Frederick.” Andrew said.
“No problem.” Frederick said as he went with the others to fend off the monsters.
“Envy, wake up! What happened?” Andrew shouted. Envy suddenly woke up with a gasp and panting.
“Giant eyeball!~ On the roof!” Envy cried.
“A giant eyeball?” Andrew said. He then realized what she was referring to. “Envy, you’re gonna have to fight this eye. Otherwise, won’t leave you alone until it kills you.”
“What?” Envy said, confused. She then saw the Eye of Cthulhu floating in front of them. Andrew shot it with his bow, but only made it more angry.
“I’ll go get the others!” Andrew yelled, as he ran into the house. The Eye of Cthulhu then charged at Envy. Envy jumped over it and hit it with her mace. She landed behind it. The Eye of Cthulhu then turned around and sent a swarm of demon eyes after her. The demon eyes swarmed around her like angry bees. Envy couldn’t see. There were too many of them. Suddenly, they stopped as an explosion went off. Envy could see Dolgrim throwing grenades at the Eye of Cthulhu.
“Back off!” he yelled. While the demon eyes were distracted, Envy used her mace to destroy them. Dolgrim dodge rolled out of the way as the Eye of Cthulhu swooped down to attack him. The Eye of Cthulhu stared at him and sent more demon eyes after him. Envy quickly rushed over to defend him. She stood right in front of him and swung her mace around the demon eyes as they swarmed.
“Come on!” Andrew shouted. Him and the other townspeople started throwing and shooting things at the demon eyes.
“Envy, go! We’ll be fine.” Dolgrim said. Envy nodded and soared up into the sky. She shot a darkrune fireball at the Eye of Cthulhu, setting it aflame. As she got up close to it, she slashed it with her sword and flew away as it began to chase her. As it did, Envy continuously flung her yoyo at it. Eventually, she shot another blast of darkrune fire, and then stabbed the Eye of Cthulhu right in the pupil. Envy pulled her sword out and landed on the ground.
“Yeah!” she shouted, thinking she won. Unfortunately, she thought wrong. The Eye of Cthulhu began to shake, rapidly. Then, the eye tore open, revealing a horrifying mouth as it roared. Holly screamed and passed out at the sight of it. Envy was now even more terrified. The Eye of Cthulhu then began dashing towards her more aggressively. Envy stuck with the yoyo, for the remainder of the fight. The more damage the Eye of Cthulhu received, the faster it got. Just then, the Eye of Cthulhu caught the yoyo in its mouth, and then yanked Envy towards itself, but Envy let go of it and crashed. The Eye of Cthulhu swallowed the yoyo, then it looked back towards Envy. Envy was exhausted. She looked up to see the Eye of Cthulhu getting ready to swoop down to devour her. Its mouth drooled with blood and saliva.
“Hey!” a voice yelled. Both of them looked to where the sound came from. There was a person dressed up in a pharaoh's outfit, standing there with some kind of staff in their hand. “Leave her alone!” the pharaoh barked, in a familiar female voice. She raised up her staff, and summoned a finch to attack the Eye of Cthulhu. The Eye of Cthulhu roared in rage, and began chasing after the pharaoh. Suddenly, the pharaoh tripped over a rock and twisted her ankle. Before the Eye of Cthulhu could devour her, Envy flew in from behind, and stabbed it with her sword, killing it. Blood gushed everywhere as the Eye of Cthulhu burst into a million pieces. Envy then passed out.
As the blood moon set, everything was no longer red, and it started to rain. Envy woke up to the sight of the remains of the Eye of Cthulhu, as well as a treasure bag with stuff inside it. Envy picked up the bag, and put it in her inventory. Envy then saw the pharaoh who saved her. She went up to her to see if she was ok.
“Hey, are you alright?” Envy said. Just then, the pharaoh woke up.
“Ow! What happened?~” the pharaoh asked.
“Thanks for saving me back there.” Envy said. “Who are you?”
“Wait, who are you?” The pharaoh asked. “You look and sound familiar.” Envy took off her helmet, revealing her face. “E…Envy?” The pharaoh said as she took off the pharaoh mask. Envy was shocked at who it was.
“Siss?”
