So after a couple months of these guys being around the internet and being specualted as true. Pokemon finally gave the confirmation Officially that these 3 are legit pokemon.Overall i feel like all 3 are neutral in my eyes. So I decided to make 3 lil mini comics for each one based on my thoughts.
Decidueye- Grass/Ghost: My only complaint is the name, pretty stupid sounding isn't it? However hat makes me want this poke is the fact that it actually changes type in the final evo, no longer is it grass/flying, but now grass/ghost! And one of its new moves enables it to trap pokemon and prevent em from escaping or switching out, which can be useful in catching legendaries or the island guardians if they like fleeing battles. Also grass/ghost means it loses the 4x ice weakness
and is immune to normal and fighting movesIncineroar- Fire/Dark: Okay kinda figured it'd be this, but at the same time this is one time that a pokemon that is obviously based on a wrestler shoulda been fire/fighting. Instead it's a wrestler who is weak to fighting types. TOTAL SENSE! So have Hawlucha kick it in the crotch for the comic XD. Also makes some sense since this poke apparently unleashes its fire from its belt like area.. pelvic thrusts of burning fury anyone? But the dex entry for this poke cracks me up too, apparently it can get so riled up that it'll attack trainers by accident in a battle, and apparently most people don't like that about this pokemon XD
Primarina- Water/Fairy: Okay when these pokes were first seen, this pokemon was the one of the 3 that i hoped was fake, it's just too feminine when you consider the fact that starter pokemon are mostly male... At least Delphox had something masculine about it, albeit it was still feminine. However despite that gender joke, it seems like an interesting poke, it has exploding bubbles!
So yea mostly neutral about all the pokemon here, but it is funny to make fun of them too, especially inceneroar XD

pokemon fans tend to get way too serious whenever a new gen comes out. it's very stressful for me to poke fun of pokemon when they overreact to small things like jokes.....

not only pokemon im afraid, in the sims 4 people got mad because you can put male voice on female characters and vice versa and in fire emblem some people got mad because they added the casual mode.

yeah i've heard a lot about LoL community, many appear to rage about anything.
i sometimes give some suggestions for the devs on some aspects that i think that could be improved, for example in fps the weapons are balanced in shotgun=good for close combat, assault rifle=good all around,sniper=good at long range, but if you master the "quickscope" tecnique you get a weapon that one shots in any situation basically making the other weapon types useless, one way to fix this is putting a delay on the aiming on sniper rifles.

I don't really care about the Primarina gender ratios cuz I got a female Popplio on my first try anyway.
But I do agree it's kinda ironic for a wrestler to be weak against other fighters ( Incineroar)
As for Decidueye, getting rid of the 4x ice weakness is pretty good. The name is meh to me.Β

Well, Dark-type makes sense for Incineroar, which is a HEEL wrestler. The ones that win their matches by playing dirty. That's what Dark-type is most known for: playing dirty.

I wasn't going to respond initially, until I read that person's comment below about sexism. (they're an asshole, by the way)
Personally I don't care one way or another about how a pokemon looks because I know that some people will like it and other people will dislike it, and there's a pokemon for everyone to enjoy. I myself love decidueye, and I love primarina even more than incineroar because I feel primarina's design is far better put together and beautiful, whereas incineroar looks too cliched as a fire starter and the design strikes me as awkward (though the fact it's a wrestler is hilarious).Β
Though I do think it's curious that more people hate or dislike primarina's feminine design, and less people seem to hate or dislike incineroar's masculine design. I'm not one to accuse others of being sexist or racist over things like this, but the sentiment that "masculine=good, feminine=bad" is rather unfortunate and is by its nature sexist, albeit mostly innocent sexism rather than malicious.
People will like what they will and dislike what they will. I don't really care and no one should make a big deal out of it, but I do find implications somewhat troubling.
Edit: Oh, I'm not calling you sexist by the way. I may have some sjw sentiments, but I'm not extreme nor do I think changing the world is something I must do with angry brute force. Plus, I know this is just a fun comic. I just felt like bringing up the subject in light of the comments below and the fact that I've seen more people complain about a pokemon's femininity rather than their masculinity.

I personally have no problems with any of the starter evos here, my thing about Primarina's looks is that, considering the gender ratio on starters, not a lot of primarina are going to be the gender that they look, which for someone who may have somehow lived under an onix for the past few months would be surprised that their male popplio turns into a incredibly feminine mermaid seal. However, like i've said before, its just a minor critisism and i do like the idea of it using exploding bubbles XD
but i think that largely male over female ratio for all the starters is possibly why most people won't mind a masculine starter over a more feminine one. Because with the high male ratio it'd make some sense in a way

I still love primarina's rather beautiful appearance, and I love the idea of a feminine male pokemon and masculine female pokemon, but it's understandable that some people might find it odd. I just realize thatΒ Incineroar might be a parody of the anime character, Tiger MaskΒ in terms of it's characterΒ and appearance. Tiger Mask was basically a heel wrestler who wanted to be good when realize he was setting a bad example for a orphan and they both have a feline theme.Β

yea I shoulda found something better than the google translate, but it's mostly cause I don't normally write in other languages
come to think about it, another comic I used Hawlucha with had him say a sentence in spanish, and that tonto word showed up in the translation....
but i think i wrote up "you stupid cat" in the english part of the translation app. so I'm starting to think that maybe it's just how it's written in google translate that can cause the translation to sometimes go a lil wrong

No, but considering the fact that every starter ends up mostly male. It's not exactly the smartest idea to make that pokemon overly feminine
Fennekin's linje had the same prob, however by the end of it delphox had a design that could go either way, male or female. the pro with popplio's line is that it instantly shown to be overly feminine in design.
There's a difference between doing something feminine while staying gender neutral at the same time (like with delphox or the chrystal gems) and just outright going to an extreme. which is what happened here.
and you know what, that's just my only minor critisism on that pokemon, besides that, it has an interesting typing, and its exploding bubble thing is actually quite nice
oh and here is the big thing this comic is a joke It's making fun of the fact that its an overly feminine pokemon that will end up being male most of the damn time. sjws just cannot take a joke

Litten3 is based on a Heel Wrestler which is why it gins the Dark typing. Kind of think it's nice to have a feminine looking starter after how manly Samurott was portrayed

Decidueye: Deciduous (as in a type of tree that loses its leaves in the fall) + Deadeye (as in someone who's a REALLY good shot (as in with a bow and arrow)
Incineroar: the fire-type cancels out TWO weaknesses of dark-type

All I can say about Litten's final evolution is thank goodness it ain't another fire/fighting! We got three of those as is *Cough* Blaziken *Cough* Infernape *Coughs a third time* Emboar. Kinda over used too much for the fire starters (Which is why I was happy with fennekin and it's evolution line)

I do wish they went a different route for popplio too, this case they went a lil overboard in the feminine looks. Delphox at least can go either way as male or female, but it still went feminine, but not too much.
