So after a couple months of these guys being around the internet and being specualted as true. Pokemon finally gave the confirmation Officially that these 3 are legit pokemon.Overall i feel like all 3 are neutral in my eyes. So I decided to make 3 lil mini comics for each one based on my thoughts.
Decidueye- Grass/Ghost: My only complaint is the name, pretty stupid sounding isn't it? However hat makes me want this poke is the fact that it actually changes type in the final evo, no longer is it grass/flying, but now grass/ghost! And one of its new moves enables it to trap pokemon and prevent em from escaping or switching out, which can be useful in catching legendaries or the island guardians if they like fleeing battles. Also grass/ghost means it loses the 4x ice weakness
and is immune to normal and fighting movesIncineroar- Fire/Dark: Okay kinda figured it'd be this, but at the same time this is one time that a pokemon that is obviously based on a wrestler shoulda been fire/fighting. Instead it's a wrestler who is weak to fighting types. TOTAL SENSE! So have Hawlucha kick it in the crotch for the comic XD. Also makes some sense since this poke apparently unleashes its fire from its belt like area.. pelvic thrusts of burning fury anyone? But the dex entry for this poke cracks me up too, apparently it can get so riled up that it'll attack trainers by accident in a battle, and apparently most people don't like that about this pokemon XD
Primarina- Water/Fairy: Okay when these pokes were first seen, this pokemon was the one of the 3 that i hoped was fake, it's just too feminine when you consider the fact that starter pokemon are mostly male... At least Delphox had something masculine about it, albeit it was still feminine. However despite that gender joke, it seems like an interesting poke, it has exploding bubbles!
So yea mostly neutral about all the pokemon here, but it is funny to make fun of them too, especially inceneroar XD

I like how sexist everyone sounds when they complain about Primarina.

I know the complainers aren't consciously sexist, but their comments definitely are sexist, and I laugh at the level of naivete they demonstrate. xD

Before my thoughts I'll just comment on what happens in the comics. At least for Incineroar and Primarina. Somehow I'm not suprised he'd be weak to fighting despite people saying they didn't want Fire Fighting anymore since we've already had that for 3 Gens in a row and I'm glad it stopped and hope it keeps going that way. Still funny with the Low Kick Hawlucha gave to his crotch. XD Primarina yeah poor her considering how Starters are mostly of the male gender though still I'll probably be doing a lot of resets just to get a female Popplio or just breed it.
I will admit I'm glad Decidueye has a Grass Ghost Typing despite Phantump and Gourgeist sharing that typing I do like that it has a Signiture Move that prevents Escaping Pokemon although sucks that isn't gonna be my starter since I'm still balancing between Litten and Popplio that and my sister is gonna pick Rowlett for her copy of Sun despite me leaning more towards Popplio due to Primarina but eh I'm liking what we're having so far although Incinceroar...I do like that fact it's based on the term Heel Wrestler which is a term describing dirty fighters. Though I still think the complains centering around it being stupid since I read up on some comments on facebook complaining that it isn't Fire Fighting which seriously is fucking stupid and also hypocritical.
Aside from that little rant starter final evolutions are nice but if I ever get a Litten I'll probably get 2 a male and a female only evolving the female up to Torracat and male up to Incineroar just for Pokedex Data.

Well in the case of inceneroar, this is a pokemon that it would make sense to be fire/fighting. whereas a pokemon like emboar woulda been more fit as a fire/dark type for example.

I'll be honest I never really cared much for Emboar nor does anyone else I know of who's played Gen 5 using it especially when compared to the 2 Fire Fighting Types before it. I am glad Incineroar is another that breaks the mold like Delphox that and I like the fact it's Fire Dark because of Houndoom and that was one thing I wanted the most out of Litten and we kinda got it though I still wished it was a Quadraped instead of what we got since Incineroar's leak back in June was the main reason I didn't like it and it was what turned me away from picking Litten as my starter until Torracat was revealed. Though I do like the fact Incineroar is called the Heel Pokemon which as I stated before is a term for dirty/cheating fighters in wrestling and those two words are normally associated with Dark Types more than Fighting types. Though still we got what we got. Rowlet turns into a Grass Ghost based off of Robin Hood and I've heard people giving him nicknames that fit his design, a Fire Dark Type out of Litten based off of Cheating/dirty Wrestling fighters and a Water Fairy Siren out of Popplio's final evolution.

Not really. Fighting types are more about physical strength or honorable combat, like Mienshao and Toxicroak. Dark types are about cunning and deceit, about trying to win with tactics that are against the norm, Β like Weavile and Mightyena. Dark types are also more feral and beast like, which would perfectly describe Incineroar. Its description talks about how it will use tactics to fight that may hurt the opposing trainer and he acts almost feral in Pokemon refresh, growling and baring his massive claws and teeth in an unfriendly manner. It makes all the sense in the world that he is a dark type and Emboar is a Fighting type.Β

Its description also states that incineroar also won't fight some foes if they're clearly weak or injured.

That isn't uncommon for dark types, at least the more noble ones. Pangoro has similar standards where it can't stand bullying and Absol comes to warn people of disaster. He is also based on the Heel wrestler, witch is when a wrestler is set aside to be the antagonist of the show by cheating or poor sportsmanship, even though they are a nice guy outside of the ring. It still makes more sense as a dark type.
