Inspired by watching a clip of the Japanese dub of Steven Universe, specifically the song Stronger than you www.youtube.com/watch?v=9ccsxo…In rhythm and the sound of the dub's singing, Its spot on. But lyric wise its been changed in the Japanese dub to fit the tune.
Nothing wrong with that but it reminded me of Garnet's reaction to the time Steven and Connie wrote for her in the episode love letters and of what she said
I didn't write that
So I decided to have Garnet read the japanese script and find the words have been rewritten to fit the song's rhythm, in words that would sound decent enough in japanese while stil having the same meaning-ish
Steven, did you and Connie write words for me again

Honestly the english version is a lil better though
But with this it makes me wonder if the other dubs do this too, and considering the japanese, also makes me wonder what other script changes are put in dialogue wise (I'd laugh if they made peridot or Amethyst have a foul mouth)
please note I am not complaining about the song, in fact the japanese dub got it down to the best of their ability, and the song's themes are relatively the same.
But I do find it funny that in the english version garnet has a feminine voice and Jasper has a masculine but in the Japanese dub its reversed
