So with the pokemon sword and shield controversy getting worse and worse with Matsuda doubling down yet again on not doing squat about it, it's sad to say that the most hype worthy thing in pokemon right now is the mobile game pokemon masters, which sadly does the series more justice than the main series does. In addition, its trailer had a well animated anime animation to it showcasing many iconic trainers from across the pokemon series. Also putting the actual pokemon anime to shame as well honestly.

Because let's face it, since Generation 5, the anime's been on serious decline in quality and writing, with Sun and moon changing up the formula a bit, but it doesn't really help with maintaining a well organized plot or a focused storyline much either. Just like in ultra sun & ultra moon, they downplayed Lusamine's role as the antagonist greatly, Guzma and Hau only just recently arrived in the anime near its closing arc, and the ultra beasts coulda been some of the darkest moments in the anime's history but it was downplayed and sugar coated and downplayed for younger audiences way too much..... Honestly looking at the pokemon master's cinematic trailer makes me feel it'd make a better anime adaptation -without ash of course, it'd be a cool thing to see-

Sadly it seems the pokemon company's ideas of downplaying everything in their franchise is getting worse and worse, they don't think children can handle the gameplay the older fans grew up with, so they dumb it down to a massive degree (aka sun and moon) and the anime can't even pull a serious moment really either anymore. Pokemon has been making a lot of really bad choices as of late, and it seems that it needs to be put into better hands, if indie companies can do better jobs with this ip, then nintendo and the pokemon company might want to think about taking gamefreak outa the equation soon.....

So yea rant aside, thought it'd be amusing to draw Ash and the scottish trainer together, since well there's a chance that these two will be seeing a lot of each other soon enough when the anime reaches Galar (I think ash will either travel with Gloria here or Sonia, maybe even Nessa, albeit the former won't have her hilarious scottish meme personality). So they might as well get to know each other and wallow their sorrows over a drink, but Ash is a little apprehensive, but She's smarter than she looks and knows Ash has been around since the 90s, making him in his late 20s technically, more than legal enough to drink. Impidimp I felt would fit here as well, Honestly, If i was to catch an Impidimp [If i even buy the game at this point] I'd probably nickname it Tyrion, especially if its shiny form is a golden brown lol.
