Description
So the upcoming 3DS zelda game, tri force heroes, released another trailer, this time featuring the princess: Princess Styla? www.youtube.com/watch?v=HHiHmsβ¦basically someone steals her Fashion sense and she's forced to wear a head to toe onesie with a hood and footy covers an everything.... So the basic plot is that the 3 links, or if you go by the trailer, link(green), talon (red) and raph (blue) go through the drablands and beat 32 dungeons in order to stop the bad guy and save Styla's beauty from the curse.
yea can I just say that this is probably the shallowest zelda plot yet, the princess isn't captured (so far) and she just needs her fashionista powers back from some bad guy (i'll find it hilarious is they make Ghiraham or Yuga the antagonist, cause i'm sorry i cannot see Ganondorf or any ganon incarnation taking this role. Its likely that its another new one off baddie but still).
I'm honestly glad Zelda isn't the princess here, cause her incarnations have always been different: skyward zelda is playful and adventurous, spiti tracks may have been timid but she was very helpful, twilght and ocarina zelda was serious. But being portrayed as a fashionista (a rather crybaby one) just does not fit the Zelda character (okay maybe spirit tracks zelda)
my current headcanon is that Styla is Zelda's cousin or something. But link seems to expect that this will be a great quest, too bad Raph and Talon correct him and bum the guy out XD
So anyways comment and enjoy
Legend of Zelda belongs to Nintendo

C'mon. Let the writers have a joke once in a while. Being bitter to this game for not being the standard Zelda plot doesn't sound fair to me when it clearly doesn't want to be that.

I actually really enjoyed the silly story. The sissy king especially :3

I'm actually rather neutral to this. I like the idea of the multiplayer zelda, I'm mostly just pokng fun at how silly the plot is, green link is mainly representing the more stingier fans
being a guy who likes the zelda games, but has never been able to complete them. i find the idea a lil silly, but its still rather interesting, I'm actually kinda glad zelda isn't the princess in this one, since the themeing doesn't fit her character much, but i like how the gameplay of this will work. that and I'm sure this one is, like hyrule warriors, a spin off
no use getting all worked up over a spin off game.

You are surprisingly reasonable. I just came from a too serious argument with a Sonic fan about Sonic Boom and was a little antsy, I'm sorry.
I think the game looks ok. Nothing terribly special, but a good game for if you just wanna dick around with friends. Some people act as if this game is taking valuable resources from Zelda U, when this game is really not looking like it took that much to make.Β
I'm glad Zelda isn't in it either. It's nice to not see her attached to a game. It helps for if games wanna branch out more in the future to not have to drag her with them.

(i'm honestly hoping that sonic fan wasn't that one who blames every little thing wrong about sonic on nintendo fans, cause if so try not to take that guy seriously, he's kinda in his own stubborn world)
yea same here, its mostly for multiplayer purposes really, something the zelda franchise wanted to do since after the first one.
indeed, and its not the first time zelda hasn't appeared in the game series.

(He wasn't the one I was arguing with, but he was there.)
So you never finished a single Zelda game and you're a fan? Not even Minish cap? Β Wow, that's fascinating.

ah
nope, had the zelda collection on gamecube which had every game since majora's mask and got stuck on all of them ><
I've never had minish cap, or some of the others because i usually figured i'd get stuck somewhere.

If you're worried about getting stuck, maybe Minish Cap would be good for you. Minish Cap is the shortest normal Zelda game and has some of the easiest puzzles.Β
It's also possible that you might prefer the 2D Zelda games. (Except the first; that one is dated.) 3D games can be somewhat more difficult because it requires a more complicated thought process due to the different dimensions. A 2D game has a more limited space, so the puzzles are more straightforward.Β
Of course, if puzzles give you trouble, maybe Oracle of Seasons would be a good game. That game is more reflex based and combat focused, so there's less places to get stuck.

The only real 2D game I have played is spirit tracks, and had some difficulty, but I'm considering retrying it since before i had trouble with games like that. Now that I'm older and ore experienced i feel i might have more concentration

Ah. Spirit Tracks....
It's not a bad game. It's just the control scheme is a bit unorthodox, and the way the system works in that game means that you will be multitasking a bit. It might be good though, since while the controls are weird, the items are very straightforward in how they work.Β

the difference being, this one is higher quality
but i wouldn't really compare it to cdi

You mean higher quality graphics. The plot is stupid. Why should Link care so much about this princess's fashion sense. Just have the princess go and buy a new outfit and a wig and wear it over the onezee. Did the Zelda Staff at Nintendo suddenly lose the minds?

yes the graphics.
but what do you expect? its a multiplayer zelda game, why use a strong plotline for something like this? Its probably like hyrule warriors and is just a spinoff, its not really something to get all twisted in a knot about.

I saw the trailer. It makes me wonder if there will be actual talking via voice acting
If it's Ganon, then he wanted to make her face the greatest

I don't think its going to have real voice acting, it was just an explanation trailer. cause if you listen closely, the king made the typical noise to show someone was talking in a zelda game.
honestly I feel it might be some new villain themed to be a fashionate character, but if it had to be a past character, I'd rather it be a ghiraham incarnation than another ganondorf or ganon one, cause taking fashion sense seems a lil outa character for the king of all evil

yea
somehow though with the fashion element, i feel like this game is trying to appeal to a larger female audience too.
