Let the world rejoice, for I have found a tripod. I've been getting round to buying one for ages, but tonight I got out a telescope to take a look at the full moon (visible in the picture), and inside the little case was a tripod that fitted the camera perfectly. So, now it's no longer a virgin (think about it), I can get down to some slightly longer exposures.This is a telegraph pole right in the corner of my front garden. The other bright white dot is Sirius, as far as I can tell.

Thanks. I don't think it ever gets truly dark in this sort of urban area...

Sirius I think. If it's the North Star then it's gone on holiday to the south-east .

hmm, server must be lagging said i only had one deviation on my watch when theres two...
anyway, looks nice, i like the way you can see detail on the pole instead of just an outline
